I think it's just okay. I'm interested to see Seo Yea Ji there, and she is also good. Well, I feel a bit bored at the beginning but it's still worth it to finish the whole film. At least you'll understand the plot after completing it. Overall, it's not bad.

Movie, especially if youre of the squemish kind of viewer of supernatural, mysterious puzzle thriller movies. Its definately south korean filmaking on a high level, and if made by some newbie in the cinematology craftmanship its very insightful and brilliantly done, if made by a seasoned one, its still good.
Its really a sort of complex story that is actually so clueless its hard to spoil without refering the whole written screenplay, even then its deviously hard... but its a woman, claimingly having had an accident leaving her in a coma. Waking up in total amnesia about prelife experiences has to learn the world from start.and what a start of a life. A myriade of illusions and dellusions combined with inceptions of nightmarish fortune telling moments flaring her brain, makes her action and reactions become rekcognized as a mad ones. But is there a any sense in what she says and does.
Everyone that has lived a human life, have also experienced the inhuman sides of it, and the female caracter within the plot of this movie seems to get them all served in one day. Can it be too much of it??? Actually yes, and then its hard to handle, but thats my perseptive evaluation. But still its a very recommendable film, youll get surprised all the waay to the end.. and do you not like the film listen to the score, hi quality as usual for s.k. Films so go for it is the last words from a grumpy old man.

This is a very weird case...usually directors/writers have problems trying to conclude a story. Here, it's the opposite: the first act is bad and the film grows on the second and third act!

First off, kudos to Director Seo Yoo Min for her amazing directorial debut. A script and production that took years in the making and it totally got delivered beautifully by the whole cast and crew. The plot twist, unlike any other. 99 Minutes of the whole movie airtime that is just effectively brought to live with lively pace by the editing team, with its dynamic cut to cut. Keeping the escalation of the whole suspense and drama, building up at just the right speed, from start to ending. It's as if we're there, immersively experiencing the unraveling too with the characters. Finally, the acting of Seo Yea Ji and Kim Kang Woo, just makes the production all the more perfect. Subtle but rich in their delivery of every mimic, mannerism and gestures as the truth unfolds. Recalled is such a gem. Definitely a must watch. Once again kudos for the whole crew and cast. A remarkable piece indeed this one.

Recalled (2021) :
Brief Review -
A super korean mystery thriller with enough twists and unexpected emotional bonding. Korean thrillers are known for its utter brutality and highly twisting storylines but there are few films in the same gene which also cared a lot about emotional quotient. Recalled is one of those few films which fulfills all the criteria of mystery thriller and takes a very good care of relationship bonds as well. The film is about a woman who starts seeing her future after losing her memory and then discovers many hidden facts from the past. This idea of playing with time period and then adding interesting elements like hallucinations, memory loss certainly increases our curiousity. One has to understand this thing and it's very important that the Film is not just a thriller but also an emotional drama. If it had chosen to go on the way of just a thriller then it would have been more thrilling but it had second side of the door which openes gates for connecting human sentiment and therefore loses mind-blowing factors in the climax. Well, that doesn't mean it's a simple film, it has many mind-blowing theories in the narrative but it just don't save them for the climax. Seo, Kim and Yeom are fine in their roles and even supporting cast members are pretty good. Seo Yoo-min's direction is fantastic as he dares to simply mysterious ingredients. Many directors don't provide answers to all the questions and we even forget those scenes after seeing boggling climaxes but Recalled has clarification given to every question. With few changes in the climax it would have been classic thriller but still whatever it has is more than enough for one time watch. Overall, it's fabulous film for some valid reasons but you just have to care a less about the genre.

Watched this without expecting much of a plot or one that has already been used to death so needless to say I was really pleasantly surprised!
The first 30 mins could be a little confusing and slow but it built the story and the last 30 mins deserves a 10/10!
You will know that this is a film without much budget but the casting was perfect. Both actors brought depth to characters who would be otherwise dismissed easily. The acting was great honestly, really heartfelt and made you feel for the characters as the story went. Seo Yeaji outdid herself and Kim Kang Woo was solid in delivering his role.
The twist, ah the twist! You can't help but keep thinking that you had guessed the plot correctly as it goes but really, its not what you think it is.
I would say try not think about whether you got it right or wrong as the film goes and let yourself be surprised by it.
Tissues are not necessary but highly recommended for the ending lol.
All in all a good watch and will probably be one of the few thrillers I see myself going back to.

Whoaaaaaa!!! What a film.
Beautiful written. Great acting by the lead actress. I have never seen a film with such twists! Worth watching. Give it a try. And a suggestion "Don't watch the trailer or low ratings". This film deserves 7 to 8 star ratings but because of so many twists, some people find it difficult to understand. But the film is amazing.

First off, this isn't a terrible movie but it's not going to win any awards. The story is somewhat muddled - it's not exactly difficult to follow but the overall quality of the movie is such that you might find your attention drifting, at at which point it will become confusing. At least that was my experience. It's very much like any forgettable Hollywood whodunnit thriller with a couple of twists along the way. Passable acting, passable writing, but totally unremarkable. The kind of movie I would never normally bother to review.
What led me to review this movie is the disparity between my experience of it and the apparent audience average on IMDb. It's flooded with 10/10 reviews but when you read them, something doesn't add up. The ratings are unevenly distributed with hugely more 10s than anything else and the reviews are littered with repetitive language that just doesn't mesh with the experience of watching the movie. A lot of the reviews and ratings are clearly disingenuous. This probably isn't a new phenomenon on IMDb but as a longtime user of the site it's the first time I feel like I've been properly duped into watching a movie on the back of a manipulated rating. Prepare to be underwhelmed.

A truly spectacular and emotional performance by the two main actors, Seo Yeaji and Kim Kangwoo, who remarkably kept us engaged till the very end, completing with a heart tugging act that made us reach for tissues to dry our eyes.
Seo Yeaji once again proved to us how good an actor she is by convincingly portraying Soojin, an amnesiac woman who's vulnerable, suspicious, yet stubborn. Her alterations between emotions, subtle yet detailed acting kept us guessing the reality of what's occurring while Kim Kangwoo's charming and attentive Jihoon managed to make us root for him, even when his intentions were unclear till the very end.
The fact that this movie is writer Seo Youmin's debut directorial is even more amazing as she had done a skillful job to create a well paced, well acted movie that managed to capture everyone's heart. Congratulations to the Recalled team on a job well done!

Modern concept which we can see in most of new thriller film. (I mean The way of mind work in different situation is bringing to audience from the aspect of mind is confusing but it is thrill)
Well kind of that concept, somebody can say it is a psychological thriller but i would add adjective to it as "light" psychological thriller.
It is not hard to understand. Which was confusing me is those korean names and their faces which looks like all same and difficult to identify characters due to that. ( because i am not a korean) If you looking for a korean movie which is not a silly love story, then this is for you.

The characters were poorly written. You can't feel connected to them at all. And more over its the same story that has been done repeatedly with certain twists in many asian movies for a while. Being a korean movie lover i have seen same type of stories like this many times. Though the acting was good since the characters are so 1D you can't involve in the story. And big twist as they said in early reviews was easily predictable.
New korean movie watchers will appreciate this. But you watch many thriller movies of different language then this will be boring for you.

Recalled has the twists that are naive and beyond the expectation. The plot itself is wholesome thrilling.
Leading actress - Seo Yeaji should get many awards from this movie, she has nailed the character excellently and deeply! You can even deeply feel her sigh, pant, or gasp. Actor Kim Kang Woo has also done a great job too, his character is unique. The director should be applauded, how she brought out the story and the characters is just on point.

Non-sensical, illlogical plot that's very poorly written and predictable
All the 10* reviews here are fake.
I registered to IMDB just to leave a 10* review for this movie.
Heartbreaking... Thrilling... Amazing cast... Brilliant performances... Credit goes to the entire team...story, screenplay, direction (debut!), acting, editing, sound...and so on. Kudos! Must watch! Brace yourselves for crying profusely (that's what happened with me!)

As a huge fan of lead actress, Seo Yea-ji, I was really hoping this film would be thrilling. However, despite a very good performance in her central role, the plot just became too ridiculous to tolerate. I simply didn't believe all the twists and turns. "Recalled" plays more like melodrama than actual drama.
A well made thriller i enjoyed watching with my family!
Good directing, good casting and the acting is on a top notch!
Love it very much.
Would love to watch it again.

I wasted almost 2hrs of my precious time watching this nonsense. The story is so boring and uninteresting. The director did a very horrible job and the actors (especially the main female character) are just amateurs. This movie is nothing to write home about.
