Honestly, I don't like this genre of TV shows but I wanted to give it a try and it bored me. There is nothing special about this drama, full of cliches as well and that's okay i guess but boring. The only fun character is. Hwang Chi Hyung. But he doesn't have enough scenes to make me keep watching it.

This is done very well in all areas that make a decent series they broke away from the typical KD romcom style of series and just made a normal one for the most part. It's moves along at a good pace not to slow or fast we will find out how they stretch this out 16 hours which might be hard to do but that won't stop them will it.
Some downfalls this guy seems to be a little bit of a stalker i mean how many times does she have to kick him to the curb for him to get it but than again he did hit it the first time they met, that being said they wont be any courting as they move on, the genie has already left the bottle .
Episode 5 and I'm giving up it's not showing signs of maturing.

This drama is not just Fantasy melodrama but reality romance melodrama which will let u know how things are happening in reality.
Main leads are handsome & beautiful too. U will enjoy and thrilled to watch. 👍

I just can't do it! I have to quit!!
Song Hye Kyo is supposed to be a veteran actress but for me, she is the most one dimensional, stereotypical actress!! Jeez, does she have any other facial expression besides that stupid bland stare and the pout??!! Replace the male lead in any of her current drama and it's the last drama she did!! At this stage in her career, she should be able to carry any drama, especially with a young (non-veteran) male lead, but she just can't do it!! We all know that Joon Ki carried her all the way in 'Descendants of the Sun'!
I would like her to prove me wrong by doing a true comedy, or oh, a thriller! What a stretch!! I would love to see what her facial expressions would be in any of those genres! .......

Love their chemistry song hye kyo and jang ki yung is amazing I can say kyo have best chemistry with ki young
Acting is good and all are soo beautiful
Love to see kyo in bold and fearless type.
The female lead has only one expression in the entire series and it is getting annoying. Whether she is in love, happy, serious, hurt, or whatever, she still has this one blank stare with that pout. I feel like she is too conscious of what her face will look on camera if she changes her expression. The guy, on the other hand, looks more like a serial killer than a romantic lead. And the story, ugh, every episode she wants to break up, it's very tiring. The mothers are just unbelievable and annoying. What a series..
Although not my type of drama, still I enjoyed it. Great Chemistry between main leads Jang ki yong and Song hye kyo. Drama is set in a rich world and background. Yeoung eun (Song Hye Kyo) is a designer. Jae juk (Jang Ki Yong) is a fashion photographer. It's shows the realistic sides of trending fashions. Looking forward for next episodes.

I was so excited for Now we are breaking up and Happiness but this was a downer. It was so drab. The romance feels weird and the reason why the Female lead is cold is ridiculous and laughable. I couldn't concentrate and was bored. It's been 4 episodes but it's not getting me hooked. I like Happiness way more than this. It's such a letdown.

Being a so-called veteran actress, being older (therefore, wiser), and beautiful does not equate to being a good actress...
I stopped watching it because it got boring after watching the female lead's (FL) limited acting abilities. I feel that Song Hye-Kyo, FL actress, has the same facial, body, and vocal expressions and demeanor that never changes from one role to the next role she plays in...
Jang Ki-Yong, the male lead (ML) actor, is an extremely talented actor that outshines Song Hye-Kyo's acting.
In fact, Park Bo-gum the ML in a previous show The Encounter that she was in, he was outstanding, whereas she was again a no-depth actress.
Same for when she was in Descendants of the Sun, absolutely a bland and boring actress, whereas Song Joong-ki was exceptional and multi-talented actor that carried the show.
In her next drama she is in, The Glory, which is a revenge type drama, I hope she tries to learn a bit of acting skills beforehand where she can work at the same level and instinctively with her ML, the very talented Lee Do Hyun.

From acting, to plot, to script, to non existing chemistry - bad. Really bad. Reading some of the other reviews, I seriously suspect "paid by the producers" responses...

I love SHK. I love everything about her. No one can replace her in my hearts. Ageless. Beauty. Good acting. Its good choice of actors and actress. I cant wait for next week. Episode 2 but its getting fun to watch. Conflict everywhere. Not just between hero and heroin but Supporter too. Sehun is not show yet. A bit currious. Plot twist everywhere bring audience wanna know more and more.

Like most Korean dramas according to the same cliché, but it's not as bad as the catastrophically bad acting of the main actress Song Hye-Kyo, she is a really beautiful woman, but she just doesn't know how to act. Literally in every drama in which she acted, the same facial expression, impersonal, without emotion, without good diction. When I watch her act, I have the feeling that she is replaced by a female robot. She plays literally every role, regardless of character play the same, which is simply unacceptable. I guess the actor should be included in the role, but no, she literally has the same thing every time, stiff, impersonal... She is proof that beauty does not mean acting talent. I'm sorry that I was so rough, but it bothers me that some actors and actresses are chosen based on their physical appearance and not on their talent for acting...

I have been waiting for a more realistic drama with good acting and finally, this satisfied me a lot. I can't help rewatching the first episode. There is no dull moment at all. I'm all excited for the next episode.

Beautiful Kdrama, with great actors specially SHK and JKY with overflowing chemistry since Episode 1. It's my first time to watch JKY and I can say that he is very good with his character in Now, We are breaking up. SHK is always great to this kind of genre, and always beautiful.. the Hallyu Queen is really back.

Geez this could have been solid 9/10 show if not for that absolutely bananas theme. Naming the show "Now We Are Breaking Up" and then forcing that ridiculous plot point throughout with the main couple was just stupid. So much so that after 3 episodes I didn't even root for them anymore. Didn't care about their relationship and actually wished they would just END IT ALREADY and put the audience out of our misery.
But let me tell you about the redeeming points of this show. The costars! Choi Hee-Soo and and Kim Joo-hun made the hotter couple and I was invested in them from jump! Their relationship was beautiful and worthy of being the main storyline.
The other best friend (Misook) and her tragic storyline was compelling and well acted by all parties. Feeling sympathy for the villains in that arc was not in my life plan but they acted the hell outta their story.
Those two storylines gave me a full range of emotions that I expect of a good drama.
Even the rest of the office staff had my attention.
But i really need Song Hye-Kyo to stop fooling yall. The Glory was a role she was made to play. But after seeing her flat toned, repetitive cadenced, still and expressionless face in TWO supposed romance dramas, (this and Encounter) SHE. AIN'T. IT.
And Ki-Yong only gave me one believable line the whole show (Telling his mom "I said I loved her!" in episode 11 or 12) Otherwise I felt like I was watching an audition reel. I hated Both of them with those internal monologs that I guess were supposed to be poetic but sounded more like a metaphor word salad.
So yea, watch it and FF as much of the main couple as you can to save yourself the irritation.

I really like the storyline, both tha lead stars are also attractive and charismatic, especially Miss Song Hye Kyo. She is indeed aging like fine wine. You can see all her emotions through her eyes, and not overacting at all. I just cant wait to watch the remaining episodes. This is my number one must-watch among all kdramas right now. Jang ki yong is very cute, especially when he smiles. The way he stares at the beautiful lead actress, makes my heart flutter as well. Everyone should try watching this drama, a MUST- WATCH.

Korean Drama "Now, We Are Breaking Up" is a drama with not much of a story.
There are some pretty moments when it came to the drama's cinematography, with the Parisian style and some nice scenery and fashion scenes.
Unfortunately, the constant and repetitive flashback scenes, the messy, cheesy, nonexistent story, and the lukewarm outcome were all factors in the drama's disaster. Not even the second couple, which had some cute moments, was enough to keep things interesting and the side characters were only there to fill in the gaps, thus having no stories of their own, or, at least, complete ones.
As for the performances, everyone gave a good performance.
So, overall, two and a half out of ten.
