I don't know if it was just me but for the first hour of the movie, the sound mixing was so bad that the background sounds obscured the dialogue from the two main characters, necessitating me to adjust the graphics equaliser to filter out the background noise and boost the vocals so not a good start! Not that it matters much as the dialogue is pretty dreadful; just two people "contemplating their navels" with the usual arty farty crew bigging this up as some meaningful, didactic cogitation on life and death and the misery of the human condition - Hmm not convinced!
It was slow and dreary with no chemistry between any of the characters but if you have run out of Zopiclone, it will do for a soporific to summon sleep as I had to watch it in two halves on two separate nights (my movie watching OCD compels me to give every film a fair shake and watch it to the end) as it was that bad!
Blimey this one was hard going - I have watched it so you do not have to!
