The face of Max Payne is different in every game. The model in the first game was Sam Lake, the head writer of the first two Max Payne games. In the second game the role was given to actor Timothy Gibbs. In Max Payne 3, the model was James McCaffrey, who was the voice actor for Payne in all three games.
Before its release, Rockstar announced via twitter that by writing fan tweets to Rockstar's Max Payne 3 page, fans would have a chance to get their facial likeness included in the Max Payne 3 multi-player mode.
In Chapter 1, Max can play the piano in the first apartment area. In Chapter 8, Max can play the piano in the chapel near the staircase. In Chapter 11, he can play the piano on the ship. In Chapter 13, he can play the piano in a bar on one of the upper floors.

Unlike the two previous video games, this is the only video game that take place outside North America.
From the Panama level itself, Max makes a comment in the opening cutscene that he should really quit drinking so much, stating that he'll ruin his liver if he doesn't. Passos says that if that happens, he could "always get a new one." The next level has Max discovering the organ harvesting ring.
