Like others have said, I wanted to like this show. Yes, she has much to learn about being an anchor, but that'll come with time. She does have some pretty good insights and questions at times. I'm sure she'll learn the ropes of dealing with the time delays and not stepping over guests' answers that more seasoned anchors know. Actually, there are quite a few MSNBC anchors who are far worse about outright interrupting or distracting guests' replies with pointless grunts or Hmm/Uh-huh interjections. It doesn't help that MSNBC has a bad habit of having a guest on to speed-answer 1-2 questions in 60 seconds between two 5+ minute breaks. I'm sure she feels the needs to fill those spaces with as much content as possible, but it doesn't work, and that's not her fault.
But the one big problem with her show that must be addressed is her voice. It is painfully shrill, nasal, and squeaky. Add in her frequent warp speed rants and it becomes completely unlistenable. There's a reason why most on-air talent hire voice coaches to develop that mysterious Midwestern newscaster non-accent, simply because it's easy to listen to and easy to understand. Anchors with strong accents like New Yawkers, Bostonians, Southerners, or people from other countries invest a lot of time and money learning to temper their accents so they can do the job better. Tiffany, frankly, needs this training more than any other broadcaster I've ever heard. If she can learn to slow it down, drop the register a little bit, and maybe dial back the constant condescending reminders that she went to Harvard, then she'll the makings of a good show.

Tiffany has a way of putting herself, her thoughts, her experiences much too much in her conversations with guests. She appears eager to interrupt guests so she can be heard and will talk over them. It's kind of embarrassing. Interesting guests on the show but it's much more about what she thinks she knows than what the guest has to say. She is a me, me, what about me person.

I am a big fan of MSNBC & felt compelled to write to the station hoping that Tiffany would not get the am joy time slot. Can't stand listening to her voice. Goes right through your head! Now it's obvious why she was always sucking up to Joy Reid. And, by the way, Isn't there a voice coach available? She's also way too all about herself. There is no comparison between how professional, interesting, and capable Jonathan conducts himself on Sunday (the other former AMJoy slot). There were so many great candidates who would have made much better choices. Tiffany was definitely not the right choice in my opinion. Sadly, I know several formerly regular watchers of AM Joy who have stopped watching on Saturday (or taping it) now that it's the Tiffany Cross show. Count me in that group.

I loved my weekends with joy Reid. I thought this would be a great replacement. Very bougie very out of touch. Her voice is extremely childlike annoying. I feel like there is zero connection with guests. I tried for many weekends to watch this show, I really wanted to like it . I can't do it.

I tried giving her a chance but her voice is unbearable. High pitched and screechy. Can't take it for 2 minutes, much less 2 hours. MSNBC got it wrong this time.

Like a lot of people I tried to like her and the show but she's very condescending and rude. It's a complete turnoff. I turn the channel now.

I have tuned into MSNBC's Tiffany Cross in the past year. Each time I either turn her off or come away cringing in disgust and feel anger towards her! She is inaccurate, has highly skewed views and opinions. She is remarkably unfair in her comments, and she is not in the least, in my opinion, fair or even remotely accurate. I know that America has a tragic history regarding the treatment of African Americans and Indigenous peoples (I have Cherokee ancestry) that must be addressed and talked about. But after listening to her I always come away with the feeling that all white people are put in the same basket of eggs. I can't take listening to her anymore. I switch to CNN ALOT!

I was trying to find the 04/17/21 recording (apparently, they'll be back next week) and came across this review page...had to add my two cents ;-)
I love the cast at MSNBC, but feel that Tiffany brings a unique and much-needed voice to the channel. She is so knowledgeable and protective of the truth at a time when others attempt to erode it. Her passion for this truth and her willingness to take on opposing views is why I make it a point to watch every week. Keep up the great work Tiffany & thank you!
My countdown to next Saturday begins!

I just wish Tiffany would come out of her own head and try to do a balanced show. Allow people to have a difference of opinion withoit trying to degrade them, There are plenty of pressing issues to address about our culture but to go after someone about BLACK hairstyles.? I don't know if it was sarcasm but as another Black woman, I found that whole segment embarassing.

Tiffany brings an entirely new and different approach to the news. She approaches subjects that are often overlook such as the conditions in the Native American community. I would like o see the show expanded to two days (no diss to Johnathan Capehart!)

Tiffany is not likeable...and, although she seems to be trying to hold her tongue and let her guests speak, she too often out-talks her guests. Her questions are too long. Perhaps its the time lag that is interfering? I also agree that her voice is annoying. I like the segment where she explains terms and procedures. But note, those segments only feature Tiffany...no guests involved.

I have been a loyal fan of your show since you began. I am an African American woman, and I have always been proud of the way you have represented us as black people. I have also been proud of the way you have spoken up on our behalf. But I am no longer a fan. Because you have embarrassed us beyond belief today with your commentary regarding the "Will Smith Slap".
To allow your guests to imply that we just slap each other at the dinner table or at card games? Have you lost your mind? We have far more respect for each other than that! If we don't respect each other, how can we expect anyone else to respect us? You are waaaaay off base with this one. Do me a favor: Don't ever speak for me again. I WON'T BE WATCHING.

I am sure hosting a news program is challenging. We want the news, not-nice nasty- fights with guests. Personal grinds come thru loud and clear. We just want the news. We can figure out. Stop skewing it. That little girl voice.Whew. Ok, that was uncalled for. Sorry.
Tiffany Cross should not be on TV. Her voice is not made for it. I change the channel as soon as I hear it!
You would think they should know this.

I can't watch it. Tiffany wants to.show how smart she is. We know she's smart!! Let your guests speak and then debate or just let it be. Her voice is screechy too. She's unwatchable. I always looked forward to Joy Reid, but just can't with Tiffany.
I used to love watching A. M. Joy on the weekends, sadly msnbc's
choice to innominate Tiffany cross to replace Joy Reid in my opinion was a major mistake. Yes, she is lovely and she is attractive but her voice is so annoying that I just cannot bear to watch MSNBC on this time slot. Selena Maxwell would have been a much better choice. The fact that they put Miss Maxwell on peacock is totally bewilder me. If anything put Tiffany cross on peacock and bring Miss Maxwell to the Forefront of MSNB'S best.

With all the gaslighting that goes on with other networks it's nice to hear her take on relevant stories from her point of view. Her and her guests' dialogue is important to ensure people can come to the truth. This country's legal, penal government systems need reform.

Tiffany Cross' voice sounds like two cats fighting over a can of tuna.
Attention MSNBC, the following people are just atrocious to listen to:
-Jennifer Rubens (did she have too much wine before the show?) -Ali Velshi (the tone and harshness of his voice is just offensive) -Racheal Maddow (self indulgent cackles) -Ari Melber (stop with the terrible puns) -Paul Butler (did he get donkey kicked in the head?) -Joe Scarborough (blowhard)
Attention MSNBC, the following people are fantastic and should be promoted or given their own show:
-Malcom Nance -Joy Reid -Chris Hayes -Claire McCaskill -Zerlina Maxwell -Steve Schmidt
Voice, tone, and pitch matters, delivery matters. Just like lines in a production.

I find the show to be fresh and innovative. It's not your typical news pundit show. The make it makes sense is my favorite segment. She gives historical views from a multicultural lens. every week I'm seeing a new guest that I would never have seen had and not been for her platform. She is a phenomenal on-air personality. Every week I learn something new. And the after show on Instagram is so enlightening You get to ask her personal questions and she answers them. Love Tiffany crossing I'm so glad that an amazing black woman has a platform and a space to be able to bring us diverse voices and diverse stories. Amazing storyteller!

I absolutely loved Joy Reid's show but I can't sit through a full episode with Tiffany Cross. Her voice is almost a whine. I thought MSNBC would work with her to change that the way I believed they helped Melissa who had a lisp. Unfortunately, Tiffany's voice is still the same.
The show also lacks depth. There are just too many guests and not enough time to appropriately cover topics.

I really wanted to like this show. Unfortunately, Tiffany comes across as arrogant, believing more in her own opinions, even as she asks for those of her guests, which, after all, is what she is supposed to be there to do. I'm hopeful that she can turn things around if she understands that a host's mindset needs to be open, and it's not informative to her audience to overwhelm her guests with "The World According to Tiffany."

I wanted to like this show too. The first time I watched it she told one of her male guests that she saw him at a party, and the guest did not remember her and seemed embarrassed by her mentioning this. I tried watching again, and she basically told the guest "I see you celebrated a birthday last Thursday." The guest had this look of 'how in the world did you know this" while playing it off. It's that kind of stuff she really needs to stop. The guest should be the one to mention their birthday or other personal information, not her! To me it shows insecurity. I might check in a few months to see if she's better.
Because I watch MSNBC all the time, I also wanted to like "The Cross Connection", but it didn't happen. Right from day one I noticed her annoying voice and I cannot watch her show. It is the only MNSBC that I don't watch!
Tiffany has to go!

Her treatment of Anthony Scaramucci was shocking. I believe she said something like ( if you had a show like I do, then you can speak). It's not the exact words, but I was shocked and disgusted Her whiny voice is too much to handle. It is irritating. Saturday from 10a to 12p, I turn to CNN. I refuse to watch her. How can MDNBC make such a mistake ?
