This is one of the best autumn/fall TV romance movies, and I watched them a lot (made for or by Hallmark, Reel One, Lifetime, and similar). This is how you properly do it. If this was made for or by Hallmark it would be ruined by obligatory Halloween theme, pumpkins, fake yellow/red leafs to hide that movie was obviously shot in summer, pumpkin pies, Vancouver pretending to be fake US city and all other stereotypes and tropes. Or if it was made for or by Reel One it would suffer from various technical issues like obnoxiously loud background music, poor audio and/or overusage of stock footage. There is nothing like this here.
It was shot in North Carolina, they even used the real family name (Stepp) and location. I like that main lead actually drove Volvo XC40. This is the first time I ever watched both Ella Cannon and Britton Webb, and both were great. And the whole cast was at least fine up to great.
Writing was good except one brief scene at the end of Act II when Sophie and Gaby get out of Volvo SUV - it was obviously crammed as after tought but it's nothing movie breaking.
Nothing is perfect so my only real complain is that movie suffers from a lot of small bad cuts. I don't understand how is that even possible. They are not big, and I guess that if you casually watch it you won't notice them, but if you are into technical side of movies like me, yea, you are gonna to notice them. I'm going to blame director Elizabeth Snoderly who is obviously producer and writer by her resume, and this was her second directing...
And don't watch trailer if you plan to watch it as it shows whole movie.
