When the PDS students are in the toilet they mention a character not being trustworthy because they believe that there where vampires and werewolves in Wales. This is a reference to the hit BBC show Being Human which series one of In the Flesh replaced in the old time slot when it was canceled. This could either be a reference to the show existing there in the In the Flesh universe but humans can't see ghosts and there was a ghost in the series, leading many viewers to think In the Flesh carrying on the tradition of BBC shows existing in the same universe.
