Cheech & Chong dubbed over some of the skits to sound like they're present day.
During the space shuttle scene, Cheech and Chong can be seen having two different flags on their shoulders. This is a reference to their mix heritage with Cheech being a Mexican-American and Chong being a Chinese-Canadian.
The costume worn by Cheech during his performance is similar to what he worn during his performance in the film Up in Smoke (1978).
