Suneel Darshan had written a script for Sunny Deol titled "Kal Kisne Dekha". This was a different project from Jacky Bhagnani debut. This was in 2007. Sunny read the script but did not like it. Suneel Darshan then sent the script of "Goodmorning India" to Sunny Deol. Sunny liked the script and signed the film. Sunny then later told Darshan he would not start shooting for his films unless he would receive his dialogues. The reason being so he could know and understand exactly what his role was. Darshan decided to take legal action against Sunny claiming that Sunny was now delaying the film and causing financial losses.
Irrfan Khan and Javed Jaffery had signed roles in the film but later opted out.
Rishi played a negative role after Bol Radha Bol and Kucch To Hai.
The film did not have a theatrical release in British Columbia,Canada.
Ken Ghosh was suppose to direct Jackie's debut with the script written by Tushar Hiranandani and Mayur Puri. But all plans were dropped for unknown reasons.
