The main murder scene was meant to be filmed in bar, however due to budget restrictions, Jemshaid Ashraf, decided to change that to a house and ended up rewriting 50% of the screenplay.

Good Job Mr Ashraf

It was so refreshing to see a film with an Asian leading man that was as far away from Bollywood as you can get. Having seen the DVD of 'Murdered' by Jemsahaid Ashraf, I was greatly impressed by the energy and commitment of this new film-maker from Manchester who has had to write, produce, direct and star in this film.

Despite his lack of budget, Ashraf has managed to create a thriller that resonates with ambiance, is competently acted and is cinematically gratifying. Ashraf is a brave man to stand up and be counted as a real contender within the bigoted British film industry. Watch out for him, I think he has something to say.
