Not a story driven film with great animation and fight sequences. But this is sort of like a animated documentary that sort of "peel back the myth surrounding Musashi and reveal the truth that lies beneath". I personally wanted a movie where it's a fast paced telling of Musashi, in a story driven manner like "Vagabond" except a more realistic historical approach to it. Actually that was what I sort of expected and unfortunately didn't get from this movie. If you want a movie that covers some parts of Musashi's history and military history and tactics in just slightly over an hour, this movie might be for you. The tactics for swordsmanship was interesting to watch though. Some of the scenes with sword wielding action and narration of what is going on was interesting to watch, since you know exactly what is going on. Including the fighting tactics. This movie doesn't really cover the history of Musashi on some parts and if your not into Japanese history or culture, this movie will probably bore you. Not a bad documentary style animated movie, but it isn't for everyone.
