Because the film's PG-13 rating was originally an "R," Rebel Wilson had to go out and argue with the board that the film was no raunchier than similar comedies that had received PG-13 ratings.

In the beginning of the film, Josephine sets up a scam where she switches a fake bracelet for the one her mark is trying to sell her. This means they not only had to know which piece of jewelry he would try to sell that night, but also had to have access to it in order to recreate it well enough for 'only an expert' to know it was a fake (or his wife).

There is a post-credit scene with Penny, Josephine Chesterfied and Enrique Escalera (the Guatemalan) at dinner, with more of Penny playing the family idiot.
