Chick-fil-a+. How does that sound? Is it catchy? That might just be the name of a new streaming service in the future. Yes, we're talking about the Chick-fil-a that serves some of the best chicken sandwiches and waffle fries you could ever eat!
The popular fast food restaurant chain is looking to join the streaming wars by launching its own streaming service. Who would've thought this would ever happen? We didn't see this coming at all. Like Netflix, Chic-fil-a will be creating original content as well as licensing and acquiring content for its streaming platform.
An official name for the streamer has not been announced yet, but the fast food company has reportedly been talking and working with major production companies on creating family-friendly, unscripted original shows. One show that's currently in the works and has been given a 10-episode order by Chick-fil-a is an upcoming game show from Glassman Media (The Wall) and Sugar23.

Hey, quick question ... what the cluck is happening?
Just as multiple streaming platforms have begun offering subscription bundle plans and the Streaming Wars seem to finally be over — a wildly unexpected force has entered late in the game with hopes of shaking things up, funded not by Big Tech, but by Big Fundamentalist Pickle-Brined Fried Chicken. I swear on my life this is not a headline from The Onion come to life, but as first reported by Deadline, Chick-fil-a is launching its own streaming service. I'm already offering my deepest condolences to the first creative who earns the inevitable call from their reps saying, "Chick-fil-A passed" when their project is rejected.
I, and I cannot stress this enough, absolutely despise this announcement, but I will hate it a little bit less if they're at least willing to commit to the bit and call it "Flick-fil-a." Chick-fil-A's...

It's the end of the road for Top Gear USA -- at least at History. History has pulled the plug on the unscripted automotive series after six seasons, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. Tuesday's episode will now serve as a series finale. "We’d like to thank the entire Top Gear team for five great seasons on History, however we have decided not to order additional seasons for the network," the cabler said in a statement. Co-host Rutledge Wood first broke the news on his Instagram page Monday. "I'm very sad to say, but Tuesday night's #TopGear on @History is the

What better way to arrive at the Emmy Awards than in your very own limo that you've designed and built yourself?
That's exactly what the "Top Gear" (Tues., 9 p.m. Et on History) team did Tuesday night, and they not only raced each other there, they also dragged some nervous-looking celebs along for the ride.
Glamazon Terri Seymour had to share a ride with Rutledge Wood in his old jalopy masquerading as a stretch Vw Rabbit pick-up. "I'm not going to have to drive, am I?" she asked anxiously.
Meanwhile, "DWTS" judge Bruno Tonioli was paired with Tanner Foust in a much more impressive looking ride: a 1987 stretch Corvette (in red, natch). However, judging from Tonioli's pleas to be let out and his shrieks every time they hit a bump, it wasn't a smooth ride.
"That was like the Titanic hitting an iceberg," Tonioli said of one particularly ferocious encounter with a pothole.

The "Top Gear" (Tue., 9 p.m. Est on History) team became the first people to cross the continental divide on a mule trail, and their vehicle of choice was the humble minivan.
As they navigated through a treacherously narrow pass in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, convoy leader Tanner Foust ran into trouble. His minivan got stuck on the edge of a cliff.
The first sign of danger was when Tanner noticed that "the back end is trying to slip off the freaking cliff right now."
As he urged his minivan on he became firmly stuck. He couldn't drive forward, but couldn't reverse either because his rear tires were inches from the edge.
Eventually his co-hosts Rutledge Wood and Adam Ferrara joined forces to push him on with their minivans.
As the trio completed their epic drive a jubilant Adam announced: "We have crossed the continental divide! In minivans!"

The gearheads of the world rejoiced when NBC put a bullet in the back of the head of a planned remake of the classic British car show 'Top Gear.'
And who can blame them? First of all, this is NBC we're talking about, a network that would pull a show off-the air five minutes into its premiere episode if the ratings didn't please "Darth Zucker." Plus, 'Top Gear' isn't just an institution to gear junkies and "petrolheads." It's one of the most accessible and hilarious shows on television. Even if you drive a used 2001 Pontiac Sunfire and subsequently know nothing about good cars, you can still enjoy it just as much as the octane-brain who takes a brand new Gumpert Apollo to work.

It's been years in the making, but yesterday the History Channel announced that it will be the home of the American version of the hit British show, Top Gear. You can still watch the original (and always, best) version of the show on BBC America, but people who actually watch for the car stuff will surely be pleased to see reviews of cars that are available to buy and drive in this country (Top Gear traditionally hates American-made cars and refuses to review them. Also, they think we're all fat).

On the off chance that anyone at Cartoon Network reads anything I write, I want to go on record as opposing their upcoming programming choices. Not only are you putting live-action programming on something called “Cartoon Network” you also bust out this sentence, which is as close to blasphemy as you can get: “The network also announced that coming later in the year would be an all-new re-imagined version of the Warner Bros animated classic shorts, Looney Tunes.”
Also departing from the title of their network, History Channel is set to premiere their version of Top Gear with Adam Ferrara, Tanner Foust and Rutledge Wood.

"Top Gear" is crossing the pond. History is teaming with BBC Worldwide Prods. to launch a U.S. version of the series in the fall.
The network has made a 10-episode commitment to "Gear," which showcases all things automotive: customization, stunts, reviews and auto-centric celebrity interviews.
History's "Gear" will be hosted by comedian and "Rescue Me" co-star Adam Ferrara, stunt driver Tanner Foust and racing analyst Rutledge Wood. Scott Messick will executive produce.
"The history of the automobile and the history of America are intimately intertwined -- to celebrate one is to celebrate the other," History president and Gm Nancy Dubuc said. "We'll stay true to the original format and add a sense of the American car culture."
"Gear" fits the History brand even better than one might expect. The first program to air on what then was called the History Channel was "Automobiles: Corvette." Car-related content has performed well...

An American version of Top Gear is currently in the works. History has teamed up with BBC Worldwide to produce the show, The Hollywood Reporter says. The network has committed to ten episodes of the programme, which is expected to debut in the autumn. The series will be hosted by Rescue Me star Adam Ferrara, stunt driver Tanner Foust and racing analyst Rutledge Wood. History president Nancy Dubuc promised not to change the original too much. "The history of the automobile and the history of America are intimately intertwined - to celebrate one is to celebrate the other," she said. "We'll (more)...

When NBC killed Adam Carolla's 'Top Gear' project, it seemed like a cursed project. It had a huge project that only an Iranian oil tycoon could cover and everyone loves the original BBC show so much that doing a remake of it almost feels like a sacrilege.
However, being a huge 'Top Gear' head myself, I was still willing to give it a chance and I'm still willing to give it a shot now that it may be on its way to The History Channel.
Network sources told the car blog Jalopnik that they have a 10 to 12 episode order for the show and are currently looking for hosts. Meanwhile, Carolla said on his car blog that he was being considered for three hosting jobs. If the mighty eyebrows took the front seat, would you watch it?
