Style at the 2024 Emmys ran the gamut this year, from vivid hues to the deepest jewel tones and a substantial commitment to classic black and shimmering metallics. The sheer variety of looks made the task of narrowing the list of best-dressed stars among this year’s winners and nominees all the more daunting.
In the end, selecting the most outstanding looks from Sunday ceremony at the Peacock Theater boiled down to a mix of factors: a silhouette and design that felt both current and beyond basic, an attention to beautiful fit, thoughtful accessorizing and the poise to pull off all of the above.
Here’s a look at a dozen stars who simply dazzled at the 2024 Emmys.

In every corner of One Piece, there lies a mystery. Eiichiro Oda created his magnum opus in such a way that the fans get lost in the mysteries. He also reveals them when the time is right. But there are still a few mysteries that often make the fans question the entire plot. One of those questions is whether Red Haired Shanks stole the Gomu Gomu no Mi for Monkey D. Luffy or if there was another pirate destined to become Sun God Nika.
While it seems a mind-boggling question, several theories believe that Gol D. Roger’s son, Portgas D. Ace, was supposed to eat the Gomu Gomu no Mi. But thanks to Eiichiro Oda, Monkey D. Luffy came out of nowhere to consume the fruit. Unknowingly, it was JoyBoy’s Devil Fruit, Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika.

It feels like the movie has been in the works forever, but the live-action Masters of the Universe movie is finally taking shape at Amazon MGM.
Bumblebee's Travis Knight is set to direct, while writer Chris Butler (who worked with Knight on the animated Laika) is penning the screenplay. David Callaham, Aaron Nee and Adam Nee all contributed to earlier drafts.
As we first reported on SFFGazette.com, the big news today is the fact we have a He-Man: Nicholas Galitzine.
He's best known for starring in Amazon's romcoms Purple Hearts, Red, White & Royal Blue, and The Idea of You, and recently received praise for his work alongside Julianne Moore in Mary & George. Black Adam star Noah Centineo was previously attached to the role but exited in 2021.
While not confirmed, Sacha Baron Cohen has been rumoured to be in the running to play Skeletor.

This post contains spoilers for "One Piece Film Red."
"One Piece Film Red" is filled with explosive and mind-bending moments that not only features stunning animation and fun world-building but also rewards viewers who have watched or read the series from the beginning. Eiichiro Oda himself said that "One Piece" was nearing its end, and although he's said that several times before, the events and character interactions up to this point all seem to indicate that it may actually be true this time. That's especially the case with "One Piece Film Red," which heavily features one of the most popular characters in the series who has, throughout 1,000 plus episodes of anime, essentially only appeared three times.
I am, of course, talking about the legendary pirate Red-Haired Shanks, Captain of the Red-Haired Pirates, and the man who gave Luffy his signature straw hat, which has now become symbolic of everything "One Piece" related.

Cinema halls have received the green signal to operate with 100 per cent occupancy. It is positive news for the theatre owners, but not so for the box office just yet.
Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on Sunday allowed theatres to be operate with full capacity from February 1, except in containment zones, while adhering to health safety protocols. However, despite the call, the film trade could be months away from good business. Without big releases and a psychological block over Covid still looming in the minds of many, the audience is not interested in returning to theatres right away, irrespective of whether occupancy rules allow 50 or 100 per cent.
"It was long awaited. After the central government, we await go ahead by the state government. But it is a big breather for the exhibition industry. Now, we hope that the state governments are also proactive in giving us the permission," trade expert Girish Johar said.

During the 2020 lockdowns and ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, people at home sought isolated comfort. News reports continued to count the number of dead while people in charge downplayed its seriousness or offered dubious advice on dealing with the disease. It certainly didn’t interrupt many golf games. As workers were furloughed from jobs, they binged. One of the movies at the top of the playlist was The Masque of the Red Death, Roger Corman’s 1964 low budget masterpiece.
It told the tale of a wealthy medieval prince in a country decimated by an epidemic. The satanic overlord, played by the legendary actor and horror icon Vincent Price, locks his gates to his god-fearing dominions while he and his friends party like it’s 1999.

Almost fourteen months after Ryan Reynolds posted an image on social media confirming he’d held talks with Marvel Studios over Deadpool 3, Kevin Feige has finally made his first public comments on the hotly anticipated superhero blockbuster.
Up until now, the company’s Chief Creative Officer and architect of the cinematic universe has remained silent on the Merc with a Mouth’s impending return, leading to much speculation about his thoughts on Fox’s foul-mouthed, R-rated franchise bleeding into the MCU. And luckily, the news is almost entirely good.
We say almost, because Feige has confirmed that Deadpool 3 will be R-rated and act as official MCU canon, but filming isn’t going to start until 2022 at the earliest. While that’s got to be disheartening for the millions of fans patiently waiting for some concrete updates, it doesn’t come as much of a surprise.

Phyllis McGuire, the youngest of the harmonizing, chart-topping trio The McGuire Sisters, died Tuesday at her estate in Las Vegas. She was 89.
McGuire lived a storied life. Discovered when she and her sisters tried out for Arthur Godfrey’s Talent Scouts in 1952, Phyllis and the older Christine and Dorothy McGuire epitomized a certain sweet image of America in the 1950s. Through multiple appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show as well as the variety shows of Milton Berle, Perry Como, Andy Williams and Red Skelton, the sisters offered a sugary counterpoint to the burgeoning wave of rock ‘n’ roll acts.

Following our top 50 films of 2020 and more year-end coverage, we’re pleased to share personal top 10s of 2020 from our contributors.
Yes, 2020 will forever be known as the year with an asterisk etched next to it. This strange 12-month span saw a pandemic grip the world, cinemas shuttered, tentpoles delayed, and the advent of new, potentially devastating streaming models. Even so, there were numerous masterful films and dynamic performances––as well as more VOD dreck than ever before.
On a personal level, the move to virtual festivals gave me the opportunity to cover a number of festivals from home: Toronto, New York, AFI, and Chicago. Several of the entries on my top 10 (and five honorable mentions) list were festival selections, and the memory of watching them on my sofa next to my snoring terrier is rather surreal, and also rather wonderful.

American game development company Respawn Entertainment has made quite a name for themselves over the past decade. Initially founded by Call of Duty veterans Jason West and Vince Zampella, the team quickly set out to change the first-person shooter landscape with their massive Xbox exclusive hit Titanfall. But they truly found their footing after being acquired by Electronic Arts in 2017, giving them a chance to expand into one of gaming’s most celebrated developers.
In the time since the EA acquisition, Respawn has provided players with such titles as Titanfall 2 and its immensely popular spinoff battle royale Apex Legends. They even recently took on one of the world’s most beloved properties with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which melded a galaxy far, far away with Dark Souls-esque combat and Metroidvania-inspired exploration.

The end of 2020 marked the English-language release of Digimon Card Game, the new trading card game based on the eponymous digital monsters. Like the previous iterations, and the anime they all draw from, Digimon Card Game is about digivolving your favorite creatures in order to eventually overwhelm your opponent. Whether it’s summoning from your hand, or growing them from digi-eggs as hatchlings, Digimon involves always being on the offensive to achieve victory.
A standard game plays out between two players, each having five life points, represented by “security cards,” and the winner is the player who removes the other’s life and deals a killing blow. Moves are determined by a ten point gauge—at the beginning of each round, you have ten points you can spend on any of your possible moves. However, this meter is shared on the field between both players, and if anything...

What we call “Small Axe” shouldn’t matter.
