My 12-year old daughter and I have grown to LOVE the characters in 9 Years to Neptune! She started watching it and I wasn't interested to watch it with her because I saw that the show had puppets. (I hadn't been a fan of Sesame Street growing up, so I dismissed the show.) One day, I heard some of the dialogue of the show and went over to my daughter to watch it with her. I stayed and came back to watch it with her for every episode. The show is clever, heartwarming, fast-paced and leaves viewers wanting more when each episode ends. The show features an ensemble of characters who are "stuck" with each other on a ship heading to Neptune. They learn to accept each other's differences and grow to care for and support one another--and not in any cheesy ways--but in very genuine and compassionate ways. Historical and current events are sprinkled throughout the show, along with "famous" individuals. The season ends on a cliff-hanger and we are totally vested in the resolution! (When will the next season come out?!!!)
