Zachery Ty Bryan, the actor best known for his role as eldest son Brad Taylor on Tim Allen’s Home Improvement, reportedly has been arrested for domestic violence for the second time.
TMZ reported that Bryan was arrested Friday by police in Eugene, Or, police for felony assault in violation of the Abuse Prevention Act. The action is used when someone is accused of attacking a person who’d previously been granted a restraining order in relation to domestic violence.
Entertainment Weekly said later Sunday that it had confirmed TMZ’s report.
Bryan previously pleaded guilty in 2021 to two felony counts in a domestic violence case in Oregon. He received a sentence of three years probation and was required to participate in a batterer-intervention program.
The 2021 charges stem from an incident in Eugene in which the then-39-year-old actor assaulted his 27-year-old girlfriend. He was arrested and booked into the...

It’s almost July and that means Netflix is about to give their content a refresh. Some of the notable titles leaving include: Super Troopers, Descent, and The Muppets take Manhattan. Want to revisit "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" before "Terminator: Genisys" opens? Better do it before July 1, when Netflix says "Hasta la vista" to the 1991 sequel.
If you have a hankering to watch "Four Weddings and a Funeral," "Moonstruck," "Cast Away," or "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," get on it, because those are also disappearing in July.
And start marathoning these TV classics before they go poof: "Leave it to Beaver," "Dragnet," "Mission: Impossible," "Hawaii Five-o," "Magnum P.I.," "Miami Vice," "Knight Rider," "Melrose Place" and "Wings." Also bid goodbye to the Stephen King miniseries "The Stand" (1994) and "The Langoliers" (1995).
Below is a complete list of the movies that Netflix is pulling from your streaming list. And, just so you're not left empty-handed, here's a list of what's new on Netflix in July 2015. (All titles and dates provided by Netflix and subject to change.)

Firstly, a disclaimer: there are great movies and there are great actors. Yet no matter how great an actor is, there will be the occasional floating log of film turd that will be skipped over on their resume if they are lucky enough. Bruce Willis had his Hudson Hawk, Tom Hanks plopped one out in The Ladykillers, but, hey, they still command our respect. Hell, even Al Pacino showed up in the giant Adam Sandler turd Jack and Jill, which scored extremely well with people of low intellect and Republican teenagers.
Once upon a time, these actors could only poop box-office gold, but something happened. One turd beget another and another and another. Now these former greats simply are shallow imitations of their past glories, struggling to find that right script that’ll put them back on top. They need to pull out a John Travolta circa Pulp Fiction to get out their ruts.

The first time we see J.R. Ewing (Larry Hagman) on "Dallas," which premieres Wednesday, June 13, on TNT, he's a frail old man living in an assisted living facility following an emotional breakdown. And for anyone who was a fan of the original series, which became an American pop culture phenomenon during its 1978-91 run on CBS, the natural reaction is: "Oh, no. I knew this was a mistake."
Luckily, we're being set up in that scene, because by the end of this two-hour premiere episode, Hagman's J.R. is a revitalized lion in winter, ready and eager to renew his long-running family feud with brother Bobby (Patrick Duffy) over the future fortunes of the Ewing family ranch, Southfork.
Given the long list of failed attempts to revisit former TV hits -- here's looking at you, "Charlie's Angels," "Knight Rider," "Bionic Woman," "Fantasy Island" and countless others -- it's easy...

Back in the '80s, TV was a trip. Once I finished my mandatory 30 minutes of piano-practicing, I was one of those kids who plopped herself down in front of the TV until dinner time (of course, this was the days of yore when children weren't laden with bulky knapsacks or dragging those little suitcases to and from school, burdened by hours of homework -- but I digress).
So I've loved everything about TV for as long as I can remember. I learned to tell time with "Polka Dot Door," Balki Bartokomous was my favourite character, I had crushes on Face from "The A-Team" and Jeff Colby from "Dynasty" (side note: I wrote both actors, Dirk Benedict and John James, respectively, fan letters and only heard back from one of them -- complete with autographed picture. Squeee!), and my mother and I would catch up on the day's soaps ("Ryan's Hope,...

"Last Resort" doesn't exactly seem on-brand for ABC, but the trailer for the new series sure has us intrigued.
Andre Braugher ("Men of a Certain Age") stars as the captain of a nuclear submarine who receives possibly sketchy orders to launch a strike on Pakistan. When he refuses and another U.S. warship fires on the sub, he and his executive officer (Scott Speedman, "Felicity" and "Underworld") decide to go rogue and set up camp on a sparsely populated tropical island, which suddenly becomes the world's newest nuclear-armed nation.
The trailer is tense and features some good action, but ABC Entertainment president Paul Lee also touted its "big-tent" qualities to reporters on Tuesday (May 15), saying it tested well with women and men. As for us, we're curious to see how much of a gray area Braugher's character lives in. He comes off as very principled at the beginning of the teaser,...

I have a feeling we're going to spend the summer hearing updates on who will or will not be a part of The X-Factor when it makes its debut in the fall. Now it sounds like Mariah Carey might end up being a mentor to the first-season's competitors. That makes The X-Factor a little more interesting to me, but the new reality series still has a long way to go before I think TV needs another singing competition.
According to Deadline, there are three channels competing for the right to air Hit and Miss in the States. The drama, from Shameless creator Paul Abbott, stars Chloe Sevigny as a transgender hitwoman. Since I'm a huge Shameless fan, I'm eager to see where Hit and Miss ends up.

USA has a good history with me, and apart from Fairly Legal, it is the home of some of my favorite shows. The network stands out to me, because they live up to their slogan, "Characters Welcome," by delivering shows that focus on putting out quality characters, and staying true to those characters no matter what the cost. Moreover, the idea that shows should be fun, whether they are comedy, drama, or something in between, also seems to guide the network as a whole, and while that might not rake in tons of awards, it makes for, I think, great television.
Coming to you tonight, June 23rd at 10/9c, the newest effort to hit the network is Suits, a legal show that focuses mainly on Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams).
Harvey is a hotshot, arrogant attorney at a major law firm in Manhattan.

If you’re anything like this TV Addict, odds are fairly certain that you spend an inordinate amount of time scratching your head over some of the shall we say more curious decisions TV Networks make when it comes to some of your favorite shows. But what about the actors involved in the shows themselves? As one might imagine, having starred in Battlestar Galactica, the short-lived pilot-turned-internet-phenomenon Nobody’s Watching and NBC’s less-than-successful Knight Rider reboot, actor Paul Campbell has a unique perspective on such matters. One that he was only too happy to share during a recent one-on-one promoting Almost Heroes, a new original comedy series that recently premiered on Showcase in Canada.
As a young actor you made the decision to leave Battlestar Galactica fairly early on for a larger role on a potential pilot that didn’t end up getting picked up. Do you ever look...

You may not be familiar with the name Fireball Tim Lawrence. But you are definitely familiar with this car aficionado's work.
There's the original Batmobile. And the Delorean from Back to the Future. And pretty much every famous vehicle you've ever seen on the big screen.
The son of a screenwriter, Fireball Tim (yes, that's his legal name) told me his Christmas and birthday wish lists every year as a child were comprised of nothing but toy cars. As he got older, he realized there was a way to combine his two passions.
"I started to see there was a tremendous automobile following and a tremendous action movie fanbase," he said. "They didn't really know each other, but they had a lot in common."
After attending the Art Center College of Design, Lawrence founded Fireball Tim Entertainment. He and his crew have built cars for over 350 movies and TV shows,...

USA Network has provided an extended look at its new series "Suits". Clocked in around five minutes, the preview highlights the first meeting of Patrick J. Adams's Mike Ross and Gabriel Macht's Harvey Specter in a job interview.

After Darren Aronofsky dropped out of The Wolverine, studio bosses said they would move quickly to find a replacement.
That was in March and was followed a month later by Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) confirming he would be meeting 20th Century Fox about Hugh Jackman's next X-Men spin-off.
But those discussions obviously didn't lead to anything concrete because Jones' name is nowhere to be found on a newly-released list of eight candidates for the director's chair.
According to Variety, multiple sources have confirmed that the following directors have been approached: Jose Padilha (Elite Squad, Elite Squad 2), Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Mr & Mrs Smith, Jumper), Antoine Fuqua (Tears of the Sun, King Arthur, Shooter), Mark Romanek (Never Let Me Go), Justin Lin (Fast & Furious Five), Gavin O'Connor (Pride and Glory, upcoming Warrior), James Mangold (Walk the Line, 3:10 to Yuma, Knight and Day) and Gary Shore.

With this Friday’s release of "Fast Five" barreling towards us, MTV Movies Blog is taking the time to look in the rearview at the four films that paved the way. First up, the movie that started it all.
There have been a host of car racing movies that came before "The Fast and the Furious," but its debut in 2001 saw the rise of the sub-genre’s biggest and most popular franchise ever. Described as “gritty and gratifying” by Variety, the Rob Cohen-directed film cemented the popularity of Vin Diesel after his role in "Pitch Black" the previous year and used an ensemble cast composed of young Hollywood’s biggest stars of the time. Although American car racing movies had long relied on the horsepower of homegrown ‘muscle’ cars, “The Fast and the Furious” super-charged its debut by relying primarily on vehicles from the Asian import scene that had...

Joseph Gatt and Justin Bruening have has been cast in NBC‘s Wonder Woman. The 2011 Wonder Woman production sees Joseph Gatt as a retainer of Elizabeth Hurley‘s Veronica Cale. Joseph Gatt will be “a physical presence against Wonder Woman” on the superhero TV series. What that basically means is that Wonder Woman (Adrianne Palicki) and Joseph Gatt will be fighting on screen during David E. Kelly‘s pilot. “It’s assumed that should the series be picked up that Gatt will join as a recurring character.”
So who is Joseph Gatt you ask and what has he been in previously?
Gatt shot his first film role in Greece, playing opposite Oliver Reed, in Orpheus & Eurydice. Among other roles, Gatt performed in Miss Saigon, produced by Cameron Mackintosh ‘Len Miller’ in ITV’s police drama The BillSaurian, for the Sci-Fi Channel ’Incubus’ in Killing Ariel and ‘Uber Phantom’ in the...

NBC's pilot "Wonder Woman" is shaping up with the addition of Justin Bruening. Formerly known as Mike Traceur in the ambitious but ill-fated "Knight Rider" remake, Justin is to take the role of Steve Trevor aka the primary love interest of Wonder Woman/Diana Price.
In the comic book, Steve is an intelligence officer in the United States Army during World War II whose plane crashed in the isolated homeland of the Amazons. He is nursed back to health by the Amazon princess Diana, who falls in love with him and follows him when he returns to the outside world.
But since this project by David E. Kelly is not highlighting majorly on Diana's Amazon root, there could be a different story of how they met. According to reports, army vet Steve is now working in the Justice Department.
Bruening will star opposite Adrianne Palicki who has been cast as the superheroine.

"Wonder Woman" has found its Steve Trevor.
Justin Bruening, who starred in NBC's "Knight Rider" remake in 2008-09, has been cast as the male lead/love interest for Diana (Adrianne Palicki) in the NBC pilot, Deadline reports.
Trevor's origin story in Wonder Woman comics has changed over the years, but in his original incarnation, he was an Army officer whose plane crashed on Paradise Island, home of Diana and the Amazons. Diana helps him get healthy again and then returns with him to the United States; they later have a sort of Superman-Lois Lane relationship, as she's constantly rescuing him from one villain or another.
In the new pilot, written by David E. Kelley, Trevor will be a veteran who now works in the Justice Department.

Variety are reporting that Disney have picked up new sci-fi adventure film, The Runner, for Marc Forster to direct.
The film was originally imagined as a project for TV by Dave Andron, who created the reboot of Knight Rider, before its cancellation in 2009. With this in mind, Variety say the film is currently in development to appear not just as a film, but also a TV show, a video game, a graphic novel, and also apps for mobile phones.
After the saturated advertising campaign (which I must admit, I enjoyed) and the following successes of Tron: Legacy, it seems plausible to expect something of a similar nature for The Runner with its launch across such a wide variety of platforms.
Marc Forster will be well known by many for his directing role in the last Bond film, Quantum Of Solace, and slightly lesser-known films like Monster’s Ball, Finding Neverland,...

The L.A. Times has the latest on The Expendables 2. It now looks like Sylvester Stallone won't be directing the sequel, but has instead been meeting with other directors about helming it. Ken Kaufman (Space Cowboys) and David Agosto have delivered the script, so it looks like Stallone (who co-wrote the original) won't be taking on that job either. Meanwhile, we're still waiting for plot details and any possible additions to the all-star cast. You may remember Stallone tweeting after the first film opened that he wanted Bruce Willis to return for a larger role as a "super villain."

Walt Disney Studios has announced that they have acquired and are presently in development on a new picture called The Runner. The movie is a science fiction film on which Disney is collaborating with writer Dave Andron, director Marc Foster and Brad Simpson, Brian Grazer, and Blacklight Transmedia’s Zak Kadison and Eric Lieb.
The story, set in 2027, centers on a man who travels back in time to visit Earth before it became not fit to live in an attempt to change the past. The plot is decidedly non-Disney. It seems reasonable to consider it as a typical post apocalyptic time travel project.
In the near future, with the Earth’s surface inhabitable, a small group of survivors pick one man to travel back in time to try and stop the event that caused the destruction. Once he lands in the past, however, overlooks the humanity and egoistically tries to save his beloved sweetheart.

Walt Disney Pictures has acquired "The Runner," a pitch for a futuristic sci-fi film that will be written by Dave Andron ("Knight Rider") as a potential directing vehicle for Marc Forster (Quantum of Solace). Plot: In the year 2027, Earth's surface has been rendered uninhabitable due to a devastating attack. A group of survivors living in the Rocky Mountains have discovered a way to send a man back in time. While the volunteer departs under the guise of trying to stop the devastating attack, he has an ulterior motive: to save the love of his life. The pitch is being described as "original," but sounds very similar to "Terminator," "Twelve Monkeys" and even "Source Code," which has yet to hit theaters. Disney is planning to develop "The Runner" not only for the big screen, but also for TV, video game, graphic novel and for interactive content for mobile devices.

Tell me if you've seen this movie before: post-apocalyptic future, the few survivors invent time travel, send a guy back, but instead of saving the world he gives up and tries to save a girl. Twelve Monkeys was awesome. This is not Twelve Monkeys though, this is a flick called The Runner to which Disney just acquired the rights. And by acquired, I mean that they are already rolling out plans for a simultaneous release of video game, television series, mobile content, and graphic novels in addition to the film.
With all of those ambitious plans for additional content, one would assume that there's one hell of a script shoring up the foundation right? That even though the general outline sounds like Twelve Monkeys, there's got to be some fantastic details embedded in the story to be worth spinning out into seventeen different media platforms, right? Heh. Of course not.

Disney has picked up the sci-fi movie The Runner from Dave Andron, developer of NBC's Knight Rider, according to THR. The film will be directed by Marc Forster and Brian Grazer's Imagine Entertainment will produce.
The film will focus on a man who is sent back in time to change history for the better. He has his own motive though -- he wants to save the love of his life.
Andron originally wrote The Runner as a pilot, but reconfigured it as a feature film.
No word on casting yet, but we'll let you know as soon as we hear something.

There seems to be a lot of people co-opting complicated time travel machinery to try to save the ones they love going about: we’ve already got Jake Gyllenhaal getting distracted from his mission in Source Code by Michelle Monaghan, and now Marc Forster is contemplating directing a tale of a choice between saving the future and saving a lover in The Runner. Walt Disney Pictures and Brian Grazer’s Imagine Entertainment has picked up the pitch from Dave Andron, who has most recently working in TV, shepherding the latest reboot of Knight Rider (boo!) and then redeeming himself a little by being part of the writing staff behind Justified (yay!).The Runner opens in the year 2027, where the Earth is a ruined mess following a terrible attack.
