Dmitry Chepovetsky wears white gloves in every scene as Nikola Tesla became a germaphobe after nearly dying of cholera as a teenager.

Goofs
The dog to be executed was placed inside a metal cage. This would act as a Faraday cage and actually protect the dog. This would have been known at the time the show is set and certainly would have been discovered during previous demonstrations.

Interesting story but they didn't really solve the case

The main premise of this show is that we have a detective that uses new technology and scientific methods to solve cases using hard evidence but it hasn't happened in this episode. The entire episode they went around looking to find "who would benefit most from this murder" rather than looking at actual hard evidence. At the end, they found the person who they thought would have the most motive or most to gain from the murder regardless of what evidence said.

The whole way they solved the case goes against the main premise of the show and ruins it for me. If they are going to use nothing but pure deduction to solve cases, then they shouldn't have promised us something entirely different.
