She's a self-help author who advocates for realistic compatible relationships over the true love fantasy. Felix Arroyo (Rick Gomez) is his landlord and employer. Lita Arroyo (Camille Guaty) is Felix's sister who also works at his bar.
In 2009, Rob Thomas tried to redo his Cupid TV show from a decade earlier. The obvious difference is the actors. The original cast feels a bit more jokey and sexy stemming from the two leads. There is no sexual chemistry between Paulson and Cannavale. Paulson has never given off the sex kitten vibe, gay or not. The best that Cannavale can do is to copy Piven. It's less than.
This theme song is micro short and not that good. It's definitely not The Pretenders. The original opening puts the audience in a romantic mood right away. It's full of longing and romanticism and fits the subject matter. There is less of everything in this version. The banter isn't as good. It's more of a network show and is lesser for it.
