Final part of a micro budget series of films by the same team. All three Markham, At The Mountains of Madness and When the Earth Gives Up the Dead are all inspired by H.P. Lovecraft short stories.
Writer, Director and Cameraman Matthew Cooper wrote episode of the UK soaps Emmerdale, Eastenders, Family Affairs and Hollyoaks prior to starting his career as an indie filmmaker.
This is the third part of a trilogy of horror films made by the same team and includes 'Markham' and 'At The Mountains of Madness'. The trilogy was made back to front so the first film in the trilogy is 'When The Earth Gives up the Dead' (which was made and released last) - the second film is 'At The Mountains of Madness' and the last film is 'Markham' (Which was made and released first). The third film (or first in the series) - ties all the plots together from the previous three.
Parts of Leeds and Cleckheaton in the UK stood in for some scenes in New York.
