Good little movie about our dear friend the Goblin Slayer. Dont expect fireworks or something but what you can expert is a decent movie. Just felt like a long episode and there is nothing wrong with that imo.

Chronologically after the anime season 1, this movie is very consistent with the Novels' story with minor changes to make it smoother on-screen. There is a large recap at the beginning (20 minutes or so), which might confuse those that saw the same scenes in the anime, but will catch you back up if you forgot some things. Soundtrack is pretty neutral and shouldn't turn anybody off.
If you like the movie or the anime (Which are GREAT!), I would suggest the Novels/Manga. The slower pace of reading gives you the opportunity to catch minute details of character development to partner with the goblin slaughter!

Plot: even if there is a little summary at the beginning of the movie, I think that watching first the anime would be better. If you'll do it you'll comprehend it much more. Anyway is just about a quest and how they go through it. In general the story is good but I expected more, sincerely.
Animation: Very good. I smooth and well defined.
Soundtrack: there is just a song that was a little out of tune during this movie. In general I liked every song!
Conclusion: just a side quest of our team of heroes. For everyone who is enjoying the anime will like it. For everyone who does not know about this world this can be watched like an introduction, but without the background of the anime would be not so great and appreciated.

The Goblin Slayer series is one of the darkest and grittiest animes out there. However, we don't actualy see Goblin Slayer, Priestess, and company in an actual adventure. This movie picks up on that promise from the series. It does is very well. The movie is just like the series: dark and gritty. That's all there is to it.
Overall, its really good and I thoroughly enjoy it. Along with No Game No Life Zero and KonoSuba: Kurenai Densetsu, I would say this is one of my favorite anime movies. Can't wait for Season 2!

I absolutely adore the Goblin Slayer manga and I also find the anime despite the poor animation and skip content to be watchable so when I heard they will adapt the Goblin Paladin arc into an anime movie I kinda expected it to be much better than this not gonna lie. For the first 20 minutes into the movie it just one big recap episode of the first season and when it finally got to the new content I find it rather dull and boring for the most parts. If you already a fan then you will definitely get a kick out of seeing the gang back together with their usual shenanigans but IMO compare to the source material it falls flat in every way possible. The song Static by Mili is the only good thing that comes out of this movie, to be honest

I'm sick to see Seinen for kids. It should be 18+ or at least 16+
The first 25 minutes of the movie is completely copied and pasted from the first episode of the first season. If the goal is to summarize for the viewers, it can be done in 3-5 minute scenes. I completely skipped this part by fast forwarding. Anyway, the story of the movie was already very bland and there was nothing special that we didn't see in the series. A few novice adventurers get into trouble with goblins again and the Goblin Slayer goes and saves them. As a boss, the Goblin Paladin is no different from the Lord and Champion, and it's not hard to guess that no matter how strong he is, the Goblin Slayer will defeat him. Instead of making this a 1 hour and 25 minute movie, it could have been added as a short bonus episode to the first season. Overall, it is a very forced and a waste of time.

The movie also shows a recap of the episodes that all TV anime watchers have already seen. The problem is that it makes the whole movie somewhat underwhelming, lazy, and even boring. The good thing, however, is that it shows more about the goblins: they are getting smarter, and they are becoming more of a threat to everyone.
All in all, there is a clear difference between the TV series and the movie. The movie just feels a way too rushed. Funny thing is that even action scenes feel way too rushed. Nevertheless, it is still worth watching. However, do not expect something breathtaking out of this movie.
