Finished Tandav.
Amazing cast, acting, socio-political combination. Nothing new in story and weak story building.
Sunil Grover sir killed it🔥.

The story of TANDAV is written very intricately and the makers have tried making the show using various real life incidents. JNU is VNU, we have a Barkha look alike Reporter, we have a farmer's protest going on, we have a student who was killed and then found in the university campus and the whole political scenario around the show. The series is very boring till first 4 episodes. Yes, the story moves forward but it was very slow.
There are multiple sub-plots running in the series and most of them are left open ended. The series has been made controversial to add to its hype but practically it has nothing. The politics side is shown very interestingly but has nothing new to offer.
Saif Ali Khan leads the show fantastically and I think no one can do better which he has done as Samar Pratap Singh. Sunil Grover is the highlight of the show as Gurpal Chauhan. HIs scenes with Saif are just excellent. Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub as Shiva has done very justice to his role. His skills are remarkable.
TANDAV is a good one time watch series which you can binge in one night itself. As the show is left Open ended there will definitely be a Season 2. And I hope that Season 2 would be much more interesting as the real story would start from there only.

What's happening in the country, is beautifully captured in the series.
The message much beyond then just tandav scene in college. Watch it for the power hungry characters of Saif and Dimple, innocence of Zeeshan, patriarchy & looser mindset of Dino.
Overall a must watch.

When I heard mamoths like Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Tigmanshu Dhulia are going to star in a political thriller I couldn't hold my horses. I binged through the entire first season in a night. After first episode it was clear to me the Hindu brigade won't let this one get good ratings. Because we watch our content like we do our voting, with religion and complete lack of ability to let other side speak.
Anyway, despite good acting, some great sequences and some great twists ... This one fails to stick its landing because writer Gaurav Solanki tries to shove in things what we just don't care about. The whole side plot of Dean, why? Sana's sister plot, why? Just to add another systemic racism to the plot?
Stories like these are enjoyable only when characters are complicated and we have something to root for. We rooted for Tyrion but many rooted for Cersei too because we understood her motivation. Saif's actions have no strong justification.
On top of that the background score is just so pathetic. I swear I am half mad at this show because of that. Addition of my favorite and AR Rahman's Dhakka laga bukka is so lazy and idiotic and in many instances the music tries to make you feel what the scene shout be doing.
The ending itself isn't satisfying. They could've taken out some drama and unnecessary plots from episode 4,5 and 6 which by the way is just repeatition of things.
I will still watch season 2 because there were some enjoyable parts and atleast I am intrigued to see the real tandav which hopefully begins next season.
Special mentions to Sunil Grover who is terrifying, Dimple Kapadia is such a talent, Zeeshan Ayub is as good as Saif, Gauhar Khan shines in some parts.

It is the most addicting webseries of the year 2021 so far, each n every character looks so close to the reality that I just forgot that I am watching a show not real life telecast on TV.
A must watch for those who have a good appetite for quality entertainment

Ignore the propaganda ratings. Must watch show.
Story is somewhat missing its path but you I think they have left it for an another season.
Saif Ali Khan is outstanding. There is nothing like Hinduphobia in the show. Several stoeries of various characters merge at the end.
Overall, must watch at least for Saif.

Web series is absolutely a different ball game than Bollywood filmmaking. With the promo I thought Tandav is going to be a good series (actually more than the trailer it was A R Rahman's song Dhakka Laga Bukka that attracted me to this show), but in first few minutes I found this is just another failed attempt.
Casting completely gone wrong. Tigmanshu Dhulia is shown Saif Ali Khan's father... what a joke!!!! The series could not hold my attention more than 26 minutes in the first episode. Very boring.
As I said above, web series is completely different ball game than Bollywood film making. The creator and director Ali Abbas Zafar should learn from this big mistake.
I wouldn't recommend this show. Season 2 won't come.
Now looking forward for The Family Man S2. I hope it will be as good as first season.

Story is as fresh as a bag of rotten tomatoes. If you see first 10 minutes of this series, I can guarantee you can understand the whole storyline. Acting by all actors is medicore at best. It's like they are just playing the part to get their pay, no emotion. Not a good show by any standard.

Another flop series on the way. Acting and story is forceful. I have written better stories in my school days than this. I will definitely regret wasting my time giving it a try.

The best series watched in recent time. Brilliant performance by all the actors. Especially saif and sunil
Iam surprised people giving 1 star and abusing
It's a good flick with good bunch of stars and everyone has played their character accurately it has nothing to do with current politics
The series goes in a soft and steady pace with sharp direction, back ground scores, twists
What u can expect on a ott platform has been served but I think people had great expectations
Yes the PM status was undervalued for both Saif and dimple like their costumes ,protocols ,crews, prosthetics ,dialogues
The series should be of 7/8 hours and should have completed in this season as I keep telling the charm of series losses as it heads for second season
Trust me it's not that bad

Awesome show, don't know what the rest of the public hates. Finally a good political show about india. Dr. Gulati is refreshingly spectacular as is the rest of the cast.
Don't listen to the reviews, just watch the first episode and decide.

The dirt thrown on politics is bit too much. Saif has adapted well on the web series roles which he started with sacred games. Keeping aside few controversial topics like hurting sentiments of certain community the twists and turns in season 1 makes you hooked to make you binge watch the whole season, It's really not nail biting though, which probably the makers wanted.
I'm the beginning only, a specific serious pace/tone is setup and it continues till the end.
Sunil Grover's role as Gurpal, right hand of Samar(Saif), is quite interesting and serious , however honestly it's really difficult to shed his image as a comedian, hence everytime he tries to speak in different accent, you will feel that he would crack a joke now. And he does laughs out loud couple of times. Good effort though.
Others characters played by like Dimple Kapadia, Kritika Kamra, Dino, Gauhar, Zeeshan have been spot on and commendable.
The show becomes little predictable and monotonous towards the end however, since the pace and tone remains the same throughout the season.
Overall a good effort to make a series based on politics, but since it's political so it have became controversial as well, as they have touched few sensitive topics.
