Not much to say other than, loved it! Danish humor at its best with some of the hottest danish actors around. Crazy about Mick Øgendahl's jokes and acting! Seen all his previous projects over and over again, so it's nice to see something new come out from his side. Even down to the smallest characters we see great casting, so that could alone give this film a 10/10, but seeing them all coming together in this picture is plain awesome ! The directing is great too. Watch this with a couple of your best friends and it's sure to be a great night! I'm so gonna get this on DVD when it arrives, and it's gonna be my best friends Christmas present as well.

This is wierd one to talk about. I like this movie and find it funny but at the same time it seems a bit amateurish and the second half feels rushed. Stay for the jokes and forget your watching a by the books story.
A man with a high end job gets into a drunk driving accident and ends up doing community service at a recycle station. Here he finds real friends and learns about himself.
The actors are what carries this movie. They sell thier charecters and jokes and without them the movie would be downright bad. The commitment for every part envolved is what works.
The story is incredibly cookie cutter and predictable. The moral is predictable as well but works for the movie. The movie is a bit too busy creating needless conflict sutch as the classical "someone hears something they shouldn't" or "annoying the boss", it's over done tropes and forced. The romance is also incredibly forced and adds nothing to the plot.
The first half works fine as a movie but the second half is rushed the movie all of a sudden just resolves just because and your left shrugging at the rushed conclusion.
Some jokes really work here because the actors understand how to deliver them. We have the high-end ritch kid who talk over the head of everyone. The girl with a lively Imagenation, the idiot and one with anger issues. Everyone has thier time to shine and thier kind of humour. Some jokes really don't land because it's vulgar jokes for vulgar sake. Those parts never really land.
The edeting is a bit off sometimes with wierd jump cuts but overall fine.
This is in no way a masterpiece but a "it is what it is" movie. It works for what it sets out to do with funny and great preformances but never becomes more than that.

This movie is a pretty easy going one. It's easy to follow, and the humor is on such a level that everyone can understand it. However, this might also be the movies downside. Personally I only found a few occasions where I would bother to smile, simply because the humor isen't anything other than plane normal. The story is very predictable and never makes any twists or turns that would throw the audience off. Two actors do their jobs well. Thure Lindhardt takes the cake, closely followed by Troels Lyby. Sidse Babett Knudsen and Mick Øgendahl dosen't stray too far from what we've seen them do before. I doub't I would wanna see this movie again, unless the rain was coming down outside, and someone had stolen my movie collection and locked my door from the outside. All in all, I'm sure there's a lot of people out there who would enjoy this movie - but not me.

I couldn't believe my own eyes when I read some of the review here - did we watch the same movie!? Let's just keep it real here for a moment - danish comedies that are actually fun are a rare species, and being the best danish comedy in years isn't saying allot - but this movie ain't that movie - in fact it's probably the worst danish comedy in years! It's totally predictable and has virtually no laughs. None of the characters have anything going for them - but the script is the main culprit here - just shocking how lame these jokes are! Me and my girlfriend had heard form a bunch of people, like the ones who praised it here, that this movie was great, so rented it with quite some expectations - so imagine our disbelief when this stinker was over! Anyways, what I'm trying to say here - If your looking for laughs or any kind of entertainment Blå Mænd isn't what you need!

I saw this movie at Roskilde Festival 2008 and I'm going to see it again at a preview, a week before the official release date! This movie is so funny. I was laughing the whole time. Danish actor and co-script writer Mick Øgendahl has without a doubt created a movie that is set to go on as a Danish comedy classic, such as Sprængfarlig Bombe and Blinkende Lygter.
The plot is easy to follow and isn't confusing at all if you just pay a little attention. It's easy to understand but the movie is about the lovely trash-humor that is just hard not to laugh at.
This is definitely worth a watch!

Recent years I have become quite proud of most of the work that came out of the danish movie scene. This however is NOT one of them!
There's a ridiculous notion in Denmark these days that Standup Comedians are the answer to everything. This movie however is proof that it's really not the case! The more stand uppers that emerged the worst the humor got and this is an example of a mediocre danish stand upper, entirely known for his facial expressions, trying to be a comedy writer! Yikes!!
It's a total waste of time with bad timing, wasted talent and really lame jokes!
Oh and the totally overrated Thure falls flat and shows he's only a "funny face" not a great actor!

I love this movie, because it is so funny, but it has also a very good message; it is not just another funny movie with no meaning! Even though everybody; old people, kids and so on, can see it and have a good time watching it, because it has a very easy plot.
The first time I saw it was at Roskilde Festival. The whole building laughed all the time! It was the greatest movie-experience, I have ever experienced.
Then I saw it again in the cinema and my friends and I laughed even more! :)

- Mick Øgendahl is a very god actor, scriptwriter and stand-up comedian, and therefore I have only one more thing to say: Mick Øgendahl, you have to make more movies !!!!
I saw this movie last week in my local cinema, here in Denmark..
I have never laughed more to a movie, like i did to this "Blå Mænd".
I think it's better than every danish produced movie like "Blinkende Lygter", and "sprængfarlig Bombe".
Mick Øgendahl and Sidse Babet Knudsen is acting fantastic, and the humor is so black and good. It will make your grandmother laugh !
It's the money worth.. Take your car, bicycle, MC.. Whatever, and watch this excellent movie..
So i gave it:
10 stars out of 10 stars ! !

I saw this movie at a pre premiere , The Writers Mick Øgendahl and Rasmus Heide was both there and introduced the movie very well.
The movie it self is so funny that the entire audience laughed at probably every joke Mick Øgendahl made.. the punchlines and timings on them was just perfect.
Thure Lindhart as always , plays his role great, probably one of Denmark's best actors , and he plays beside some very talented and experienced people, except for Mick.
I Usually see when there's a non actor in the movie , but it was hard to see Mick as anything else than a natural actor , and a great comedian..

It's a super funny movie, from the beginning to the end. The idea about a recycle station is brilliant, nothing less!!
And it's nice to see so many off Denmarks greatest actors in the same movie.
Sidse Babett Knudsen from "Efter Brylluppet" and "Den eneste Ene" is playing her role as the lesbian Lotte fantastic
And Troels Lyby from "Okay", and "En Kort En Lang" as the boss at the recycle station, is a very serious man, but in a funny way, så you just love him :-)
Especially Thure Lindhardt toke me by surprise. Actually I did not really know him before this movie, but he is a brilliant actor!!
There is so many actors who deserve to be mentioned for this movie, but instead of doing that, I will suggest that you see it yourself, and laugh until your stomach hurts....

I have to start with the fact that Thure Lindhardt is one of my favorite actors, and he was the main cause that made me watch this movie. I wasn't disappointed by his performance, as it was great as usual. The rest of the cast wasn't bad either. I'm not quite sure about the movie itself though..Maybe the script was bad, maybe the jokes were dull, or maybe I just didn't get it..Each nation has it's own sense of humor-although I understand danish, I didn't find the jokes funny at all. But that doesn't necessarily mean they were bad. Romanian jokes are hilarious for us, but might seem totally unfunny for an outsider, either because they are untranslatable or we just don't share the same sense of humor. After all, it's all relative.
This is a awesome movie, I got stomach cramps from laughing and so did my wife and most of the people in the movie theater.
It's really a good simple comedy, with sweet storyline, about being to competitive to appreciate the important things in life.
This movie is co-written by one of denmark's best comedians (if not the best), and it really transcends in the movie. You are in no time in doubt about this being a comedy, the time between laughs can in the second part of the movie, be a little longer, but it have to be so, because your stomach wouldn't be able to handle it otherwise.
A really funny comedy.

I can't remember when I last laughed this much, when watching a danish movie. I was warned that the movie was for young people and their sense of humor, but I am going on to fifty and I really enjoyed this movie. For almost two weeks after having been to the cinema, I kept thinking about episodes from the movie and telling everybody about it. I went to a preview, so it took my friends two weeks before they could share this great experience with me - but finally they did, on my recommendation, and they all agree with me - the movie is fantastic and refreshingly new, and now finally I can laugh with others over "Blå mænd". Thank you Mick and Rasmus

This is the best movie ever made on danish ground, you laugh all the time while seeing it, so my recommend is, SEE THE GOD DAMM MOVIE! You want regret it. Mick Oegendahl, Lise Babett Knudsen, Thure Lindhart, Troels Lyby, and a lot of other danish actors, who can make a movie f****** brilliant! It's much better, than other danish comedies as Terkel i knibe, and probably the funniest danish comedy ever seen. It's a movie, you cant only see it one time, so get started, and see it! Its one of the funniest comedies i've ever seen, lot of 'action' and funny clips!
It's a big 10!

A brilliant movie displaying the almost ordinary world at a recycling plant...
Love the dialogs, especially between Mick Øgendahl and Sidse Babett-Knudsen.
Like the fact that it is a movie that can keep you surprised yet entertained the entire movie through.
A movie for both boys and girls, no difficult language and no complex story, yet not your average "sad-love"-story where everything is predictable from the beginning.
Don't think it's without reason Mick Øgendahl is considered one of Denmarks top performers in stand-up-comedy. Hope this wont be the last masterpiece from his hands.

I saw the movie about a week ago, and my God is was funny! :D
I have been a big fan of Mick Øgendahl for some years now, so I had high hopes for the movie.
I can easy say, the movie was just as good, and even better.
It had a lot of those little twists and details that made the movie one of the most fun movies this year!:D
It was a brilliant cast, and the parts were very funny! The director as well!
It is surely a movie I want to see again :D I can truly recommend this movie to others :D

We were there expecting the least and viewing the best. It's the first film I ever watched where the most clever remarks are being said by the person you least expect. It turns things upside down. Is absolutely hilarious with heaps of jokes / funny scenes. The plot is obvious - ignorant young man is being taught a lesson. That has been seen before, but this time it is at a dump site and I think we were incredibly lucky that cinemas don't have smell-effects yet. The young man starts growing up - in a charming way - he messed up a few times, but he is intelligent and smart enough to adapt in a very different environment. Warning: You might not be able to eat "remoulade" - with is a Danish kind of "tatar"-sauce after watching this movie. And as it is being said in the trailer - the blue men is actually orange. Enjoy this movie - we did.
A simple and enjoyable tale turns into a hilarious twisted comedy, using a great story and cast.
Fully recommend this very-high-standard comedy and loved every minute of it - imagining how much fun the writing must has been.
I rated this movie an excellent 10. By far the best danish movie of the year.
With content viewable by anyone, I encourage all comedy lovers to enter your theater.
Possibly the best cast thinkable for this production, great character portrayals, and humorous writing turned into tons of laughing - already a success
