Burt Bacharach's famous song "Always Something There to Remind Me" got an excellent synth pop cover by Naked Eyes which ressurected the track and put the group on the
map. It's awfully dated yet it has a great sonorous and addictive appeal that never faded away. 40 years of its release and it still manages to be something worthy
listening.
The music video for it follows some ideas from the lyrics which revolves a man having recurring memories of a past relationship and to each place he goes
there's always some memory about his loved one. In the video, a gossip columnist keeps tracking down a famous woman who's about to get a married, and at one time
they were a couple. She keeps hiding herself and her fiyance from the paparazzi and the reporters but to not avail, they're everywhere and her ex-boyfriend is always
there as well.
It's a cool video with some story to present which is a lot better than just having a musical performance on stage or some small set. But the main event is really
the song with those synthesizers taking over everything. Naked Eyes biggest hit is a fantastic one and I can't get enough of that. 8/10.
