There is no way this movie got all those awards I read about on the trivia session. Of course it has its merits, like the soundtrack, and the photography is good too. But that is all. First the protagonist, they try to make her badass and tough but she is so poorly written that I can't blame the actress for that crap...she is annoying and has this "badass" look on her face all the time. The plot also sucks hard, the story doesn't make any sense and jumps from here to there without any explanation given. Plot holes and inconsistencies are all over the script (there is this scene where the protagonist is beaten to a pulp and the next day her face is clean as a baby's butt). Overall, it is just bad writting and an even worse direction, they try to "show, don't tell" but they forget to show. Avoid this.

Oh boy, where to start with this one. Credit where do. The acting was better than most for a low budget film. And the script, for all its GLARING holes, actually had a bit of polish ... where it wasn't required to have continuity with other sections. Even many of the scene setups were better than the expected for the budget ... if you can get past the more-than-occassional photography blunders.
That said, this is NOT a movie for that VAST majority of movie viewers that believe 'artistry' is god and the rest can take a back seat. The script is poor at best, again written more from the 'what does it mean' versus a script that people can actually follow.
Actually, it's funny that this tries to be so artsy when the movie completely forgets a basic tenant of the movies ... the 'suspension of disbelief'. Those in the audience that aren't drama coaches are going to be dropping in and out of the movie as they realize there is no continuity of plot nor scenes (a cut on one day is not perfectly healed the next).
If you are sitting around in your French beret having just come from a poetry reading you might like this. The rest of us should stay FAR away.
