Storyline
Did you know
- TriviaTakes place in the GTA universe.
- GoofsIn all versions except the Wii and PS2 beta, Dr. Whyte's mouth movements when she says "Pickman thought his mercenaries could destroy Leo. I believe the only person who can stop him, is you" do not match in the intro cutscene for Domestic Disturbance.
- Crazy creditsThe cutscenes shown during the credits are played from various work in progress builds of the game.
- Alternate versionsAfter the game was rejected classification by the BBFC (therefore banning it in the UK) and the ESRB gave the game an AO (Adults Only) rating, games of which Sony and Nintendo don't allow on their consoles, Rockstar edited the game. They added a filter to the executions, with the Wii version having a red filter and the PS2 & SPP versions having a blue and green filter. This version of the game got an M (Mature) rating, and an 18 certificate by the BBFC, after an appeal when the edited version was rejected. The following edits were made in the PS2, PSP and Wii versions:
- A filter was added to obscure the execution animations.
- The dentist chair execution is missing an action of a hand drill being twisted into the hunter's face before the other drill is used.
- The pliers executions re-use the same animations as the flashlight. They had their own animations such as ripping the throat and tearing the eyes of the hunter.
- Leo's dialogue was toned down.
- Daniel throws up after executing the first Watchdog in the level "Ghosts" and also does the same "in awe" animation when killing the inmate in the fight tutorial after killing the second Watchdog in Ghosts.
- Civilians were removed from the levels "Red Light", "Safe House" and "Most Wanted".
- The pliers kill of the civilian in Red Light has the camera angle obscured.
- You could originally use the lever that controls the electric chair to kill the victim sitting in it in the level "Sexual Deviants. The lever just does nothing and the victim is already dead in the edited versions.
- The rating system was removed.
