Very funny
I think the lack of a laugh track has thrown off some folks who've given this a low rating. It's funny and slightly over the top 🤣
The actors have great chemistry both romantic and comedic.
Love the it's actually set in Toronto with nods to things in the area. Looking forward to seeing where this story goes from here.

EDIT 02/02/22:
Ok this show is growing on me fast. It's actually hilarious and although the characters are "over-performing", it works. The episodes are real-world parenting issues told in the most entertaining way. All cast (including the newest ones) are all excellent, and Letterkenny's Lisa Codrington as Marla is funny af. Meaghan Rath and Aaron Abrams are perfectly cast and their chemistry works like a charm. The little brats are still cute as ever. I'm upping my score to a 8/10. Can't wait to see what the writers come up with next.
Original review: If you're considering having kids, this show might change your mind. So far so good for the pilot. All the funny stuff shown in the TV trailers was pretty much in this episode, and was still funny. The cast and performances were spot on, and the little brats were, well, brats. For now it's a 7/10 because I've seen everything in the trailers and knew what I'd get, so let's see what the next episodes give us.

Good lighthearted show
This show is great for the whole family and shows what children can really be like unlike tv shows where the family is perfect. I do feel sorry for the people who rated it only 1 star as something is really missing from their lives as they don't seem to find joy in anything.
Funny Relief for a 2023 Parent
I have been cracking up since I put this on, and my husband would be too had he not passed out next to me due to a lack of sleep from the kids 😂. Seriously feels like someone wrote this after observing our lives. I feel so seen and heard watching this, and it's such a relief that it's not just me that experiences life as a mom like this!
ALSO- So sad to read the cruel comments from people - being a parent is hard, and it's not the best approach to give a lecture to someone that's struggling when they really just need a hug. Are we the best parents? Absolutely not, but we ARE TRYING and we LOVE EACHOTHER and our KIDS and this sitcom truly captures what that looks like (for us imperfect, loving, non-judgy folk)

WINNER!!
Such a refreshing little comedy with excellent actors. I am not a fan of comedy shows in this day & age however; I read the the cast & had to check it out. I'm so happy I did! My new favorite comedy series. Great job all around & except for the camera work. That's why I only gave it a 9. I look forward to the next episode.

A little less dramatic acting
Hubby and I love the show however everything lisa codrington acts during the show makes me fast forward past her scene. Her overacting doesnt' match the rest of the show and throws the mojo off. I cant stand it. I am almost at the point of not watching anymore. It has become a real distraction. Not impressed with her. Take her out and put more focus on the family with a new boss lady! Lisa codrington is likely a great actress however, her over the top character doesn't do the show any justice. I love the new direction of how the show might end up. Loving all the other characters and new baby. Hope the management sees my opinion. I do love the show just without lisa.

Spot On!!!
Seriously, I love this show! Please keep it going. If they need material, they can come observe my kids! They could keep it going for years! I especially like the way they narrate it. Astrid and James are just adorable!

Made it to the 5th episode, barely
I was hoping it would get better but the over exaggeration of the bad kids was too much. Any parent that would let their children behave like these should never be allowed to have kids. It just makes the show unwatchable.
So relatable for parents..
This show has so many of the Mom moments that are soo relatable. Its so funny. Parents are hilarious and the kids are great! I don't get the negative comments at all.. u dont have to have kids to find it funny..and its Canadian!!
I really hope this show sticks around.

True kids are awful
Who wrote this? The kids on this show are unbelievability horrible. Who really has children that terrible. I can sympathize with the parents though. Children keep you busy, and you never get to sleep in and your house is a mess all the time, and there is no private time until they are adults. Lol. I have two grown children and they never behaved the way those two have. It is a so so comedy. I hope it gets better.
It won me over
I'm not crazy about sitcoms, I'm not crazy about kids, and I'm definitely not crazy about sitcoms about kids. Furthermore, the first review - a 10/10 - posted before the show even aired, and that's never a good sign. But it turns out this show is actually pretty funny.
The premise is a simple one - a couple approaching 40 with two kids trying to figure out if having kids is really worth the sacrifice. The stay-at-home mom has an opportunity to return to work, but she is getting seduced over to the dark side (aka having a third kid) by every adorable baby she sees. Meanwhile, the two she already has could be poster children for Ritalin, and dad wouldn't mind going back to being a two-income family. Real-world issues served up in a very funny way.
The downside is it's super-woke. The parents are always banging on about gender stereotyping, etc., and validating each other's feelings, all the marriages/relationships are interracial, and there are very few white actors. It's all done in a funny way, but I am still wondering if this show is set in some other part of the world...
Bottom line - i'm watching again, and if a sitcom about kids can win me over, it has to be good. ;-)

Very relatable to parents
It's a funny and accurate show! Everything was so relatable. I loved their relationship and the fact that they portray a modern family with actual, relatable problems, yet not overdoing it with the modern references. I'm so sad that the second season is over. It's been a great show.
Many peoole here are talking about their children: Yes, their children are not perfect, just like in real life! They also portray a "perfect" kid with "perfect" parents in the series. The cool thing is that they don't judge the parenting of each of the families, they don't activelly compare the families, they don't patronize the viewers.
I'm just saying it for the parenting enthusiasts here reviewing the parenting methods portrayed.
New parents everywhere, please go watch this show.

The title nails it
After enjoying Meaghan Rath's performance in the last season of Rogue I was looking forward to seeing how she would handle comedy. This, however, was so bad I couldn't even make it through the first episode. She went from competent detective to incompetent parent. Yes, children, in this sad excuse for a sitcom, ruin everything. The children were completely out of control, mostly due to the complete lack of parenting. I'm old-school. I believe a comedy should make you laugh. This show just made me want to reach for something to relieve my anxiety.
Real funny, characters have depth
I like this comedy, its characters are far from flat, rather they have depth, something i really like in a comedy, plus some real funny here, 9 stars.

Hilarious!
This new comedy is bang on! Refreshingly funny, current, great script, great acting! Well done! Congratulations!
I especially enjoyed how the show reflects the everyday lives of the family, in a comical way. Helps us laugh at ourselves, even myself, a grandma!
The kids, even shots of babies, were superb.
The shot of the little boy, bonking his Dad on the head, yelling, "Wake up, wake up, wake up!" while hitting him with the empty Christmas wrap roll is classic! I just dropped said rolls off to my five-year old grandson yesterday, because they're his favourite swords! Lol
I know my daughter loves me more when I do stuff like that! Lol.

I don't get how this is still on TV
Ok I usually wouldn't bother reviewing but CTV is now airing this show in the early evenings so now I need to try to find something else to watch at that time and choices are limited. Netflix it will probably be - I can watch some Korean TV comedy.
I don't understand how this show is still on - oh wait the required Canadian content reg. Not a lot of choices so here we are.
I just find the show irritating. It's nothing new, a lot of the jokes are tired it's like watching your parents try to be funny when your friends are over. The acting is actually pretty good, and the actors the only reason I gave it a try, but the material is not worth my time. Plus side, it's not another cop, crime or hospital show. Yay.
Oh well that is my griping.

I actually enjoyed this
I know its not artsy, its a typical rom com tv show.
Its not the best in the world like friends, but its watchable and fun.
The little girl is funny as well.

Love this series.
I'm watching this series on Netflix. Was cautious to try it but quickly warmed up to it from all the laughing I was doing. The comedy is excellent. Here are my thoughts while watching it: great writing, excellent staging, excellent casting, excellent storylines, excellent acting, nice voiceover. By the way to the people complaining that their overacting, please, it's a sitcom. That's like saying you don't like dramatic acting in a drama. The chemistry between the leads is refreshing....a lot of shows strive to create this kind of chemistry and fail. But this show (and the actors) nails it! Kudos to the kid actors...so cute and they did a really great job! Overall, a pleasure to watch and I highly recommend.

Hmm
This show is like a bad train wreck you want to look away but you can't. They are horrible parents with horrible kids.
Misbehaved kids are not cute or funny.
Then they decided to add to their madness by having another kid. Which is crazy because their lives were already out of control.
Whoever is writing this script needs help. I beg to differ this is not reality, I had a kid and worked as a matter of fact most of my friends and family members have kid(s) and worked not one of us had as many problems as this characters.
All of our kids turned out great and were never as horrible as the kids portrayed in this series.

Hilarious Show!
Hubby and I LOVE this show. Being big fans of Letterkenny, we decided to check this out (the previews for it caught our attention as well). Since we both love oddball, goofy comedies, it didn't take long into the first episode to hook us.
We love that it is often silly and off-the-wall with a side hustle of realness and downright laugh-out-loud moments.

The name of the show serves as a warning
So much fun to watch!
For those who don't have a stick up their bottom about how perfect they and their kids are, you'll love this show!
For those whose reviews were insultingly bragging about how perfect they and their kids were, wait for the therapy bill when they get older, and be prepared to probably die alone, while they resent you for never letting them behave like children when they were children? And maybe pull the stick out a little since it is only a television show?
Hubby and I loved this show and how lighthearted it was! It didn't take itself too seriously, cover a lot of relatable topics, and, despite what some of the reviews say, does give some comparison to different parenting styles as well as opinions on having children at all.

It's not James Van Der Beek
This "comedy" is not funny. It is just stupid waste of time. I really can't blame the actors even with their zero chemistry because the script seems non existing. What it is, is a show about parents that don't even try to control their kids and it's not funny - it's not like the kids are doing some funny pranks they are just acting annoying.

Canadian
I wasn't actually sure if this was a Canadian or American show. In the opening seconds, she put her foot in a toy truck. I thought, 'Canadian.'
Then later at the restaurant, a character says, "I'll get the cheque." Or should I say, "check." A VERY American term. Canadians ask for the bill. A check/cheque is what you write to give someone money. A bill is what you get that tells you how much money you owe.
I did enjoy the first couple episodes that I have watched so far. It has some decent lines etc. And I like that it is not yet again a standard WASP couple. It actually is reminding me (in production levels/content) of Abbot Elementary.

Cute, but...
This site is a cute snapshot into the life of Canadian parents and the challenges they face in their personal, professional, and interconnected family lives.
But... Season 3 has kids screaming what feels like *every* *single* *episode* and it's making me not want to watch anymore, that high pitched, unmediated choleric is deeply undesirable when I just want to wind down for the night and enjoy a snapshot into the common ground... But without it adding to the stress in looking to relax from in my day.
Could be a Canadian "modern family" if they just didn't hit the stress button so hard during the episodes and instead fatigue a way to make these everyday challenges more amusing instead.
