The story will sometimes make you overlook the bad writing and acting but in the end there's a lack of payoff.
It started off strong but then slowly declined to just okay. What could've been a good european HBO show ended up being something Netflix thought of during shower but then gave up halfway through writing it.
As I said, the story is a good enough reason to watch the show and enjoy it, and if you're willing to overlook some of the bad things, more power to you.

Disappointing in episode 2 .... both the director and the producer showed a serious amateurism by the fact that the bank car in several different frames has different registration number. The same happens with the car of the main actors, the red Dacia Duster.
Bank Car: RJ-72-EEB and B-313-EEB,
Dacia Duster : RJ-37-PRI and B-65-REU.

Interesting first episode but after a couple of minutes is obvious that not all the actors manage to keep a hight standard of their performance..and I'm pretty sure that if I wasn't a Romanian this would have never gotten my attention but now I'm curiously how it will continue ..

Just finished the series so I can give my opinion, not like many others. The series is romanian and for me it was totally relatable and I would see things like this irl with no problem. The story was good and to be honest I was shocked at the 3rd episode, cause I didn't knew what to expect next. Sometimes I felt bad, but not cause of the bad writing, but for the actions than happend for the characters, cause I fell in love with many of them, from the shady "Adi" to the loving wife "Elena". The comedy was ok, mostly cause I am romanian and some phrases hit me good. So to sum up, for the romanian people this is a must, for foreign nations, this is not as good as the well known "Shadows" series, but is worth your time if you like comedy-drama.

Boring, boring first episode. Unnatural dialogues, story not worth mentioning, cringe acting, poor sound effects. I could hardly understand one of the protagonists, the younger one. An actor with no diction, what a Romanian classic! I had to use subtitles to understand my own mother tongue. The series is filmed in Piatra Neamt, but none of the actors speak the local accent, which makes the whole thing faker than it already is. The intro is the only thing appealing and creative. So promising until you are hit with the cold opening.
Great Tv Series! It makes me happy! We Romanians needed that! I hope that there will be many episodes. Congratulations everyone who contributed to the movie!

Once again it is confirmed to me that we do not have film or series actors. Or, simply, the talent is missing. Poor acting, and an even weaker script, as if written by a 7-year-old child. Unable to watch more than 15 minutes.

It started well and I have no doubt that this will be good. But, if the series will not have an end after the 6th episode I'll be so pissed off. Umbre (Shadows) has 3 seasons in 7 years and for a long period of time, we had no clue if HBO Europe canceled the series or not. I guess all series should have an end after each season, because, in movies, every end could have a sequel (even dead characters could be still alive. eg: Prison Break), in this way we don't have to wait years for HBO Europe to do something, because, sometimes they play dead.

Apparently, a cliffhanger if there's no 2nd Season. Or is that it? If none, i wasted 6hours of watching (i really enjoyed it, tbh) without a conclusion.

The series is not bad but i prefer Shadows in 7 years they released 3 seasons it's very disapointing. I work in Maritime industries and even the Polish, slovakian or ukrainian people knew about Shadows.

I know the city where they filmed this very well and I have to say the portrayal is very good, I was very impressed by the video editing and the video quality, the cuts, the angles, I haven't seen any movie do these things better, it was perfect.
The actors are also good and believable but some lines could have been better (like when they joke). I watched some Romanian shows before on TV and the quality between this and those is like comparing a 10/10 to a 2/10 (from acting to everything else). Hats off to the director and the crew.
The story is interesting and it works, it reminds me a bit of GTA5 but with Romanian cultural elements that were fairly well represented. I know people in real life that are as honest as the two protagonists, so although their behavior may seem a bit exaggerated, it's actually believable. I didn't quite enjoy the last episode because I believe it didn't add to the overall story, and I also didn't enjoy the portrayal of the priest (it can happen but I don't enjoy priests portrayed in the same way communists portray them, that's just meh).
