Omg what a mess. This weird cinematic concoction could only be made in Europe. It's a weird twist of homophobic stereotypes, tired and exhausted, decades old story-lines, ridiculous scriptwriting, uneven acting, low budget staging and simply implausible plot. Despite all of this, I laughed way more than the film deserved and managed to hold in there until the truly appallingly predictable ending. Memo to anyone considering producing any LGBTQ+ film in the 21st. Century...if you don't have a decent script, great actors and a capable director...don't bother.
It's simply insulting and more damaging than anything to the cause of celebrating difference.
I've seen worse Gay movies but not by much.

But I had to see it till the end. One of those films that one cannot be to critical while watching it. Just seat back and relax. If you can pass the first boring 20 minutes introduction, you'll get involved with story.
They were clever to cast the actors who play the brothers. They are two of the hottest young actors in Brazil.

"Loose Cannons" (a.k.a. Mine vaganti) came out in 2010 and has an IMDb rating of 7.2, considerably higher than this film, which rates 5.7. Maybe because of how things have changed, especially humankind's understanding of LGBT issues and gender versus sex, etc. In this case, if you open your mind a bit, and consider the possibilities that one or more of the characters are not gay, but pansexual (I did not say for sure they is/are, just asked you to consider the possibilities), even if he or they, themselves are not aware. Then the circumstances might make more sense. In an ideal world, would it not be great if we fell in love with people, and not sexes? I am gay, so don't think I am trying to talk anyone into anything, gay, straight, pan, or whatever. I did not decide to be gay, and straight people do not decide to be straight, but what about pansexual people, what do they decide or not decide? I think that is the basis of this movie, and the original Italian film it is based on. How about you? I'll let you be the judge, but in the meantime, if we can look at this and the film it is based on with the romantic comedy lens, maybe it is something we can laugh along with?

This is a remake of the Italian film loose cannons. Loose cannon loose cannons is much funnier and much more charming to my mind.
The actors aren't bad at all. Parts of the story aren't bad with a few touching moments. Outside of that it isn't a story that is even remotely close to plausible or what I see as being positive. A story of self discovery I could buy into or even experimenting. But this is a story of "I don't know, maybe I was confused or didn't meet the right woman yet or maybe just need a woman to be complete". It could have been a great movie. So I'm very let down.

This is a cute little movie, almost like a French Farce. It's entertaining but watch it for what it is.....just a bit of mindless entertainment. It's not a drama, or much of a message film, but does show the inter-generational divide that still exists about accepting LGBTQ people. In the long run, family support and love can overcome all!
I really enjoyed this movie. Very funny characters. I loved the location as well not to mentioned that it is dry rare to watch a film from South America that does not show the poverty and troubles of most people. A breath of fresh air for gay South American cinema.
