MGM is releasing a documentary short film called “Being James Bond” about how Daniel Craig specifically transformed into 007, and in a first teaser for the film, Craig explains how he was “overwhelmed” by the role and was eager to change.
“I thought I wouldn’t know how to handle it, but I knew we were doing something really special. I literally met my trainer with a rolly and a bacon sandwich and I said, I want to change,” Craig says in the clip. “I was so overwhelmed. My world had turned upside down. But I’m incredibly proud and I’m incredibly fortunate to do this.”

It’s hard to believe that Felicity Jones has been working in the film industry for only a decade. Since her bigscreen debut in 2008’s “Flashbacks of a Fool,” the unassuming 35-yearold has gained incredible momentum over the 20 films she’s made, effortlessly moving from English period dramas to U.S. indies, studio prestige pics and Hollywood blockbusters. Not bad going for a girl from the industrial British Midlands.
It’s this diversity and stamina that brought the actress the Variety Award at the British Independent Film Awards, an honor that recognizes a director, actor, writer or producer who has made a global impact and helped to focus the international spotlight on the U.K.
“It’s a great privilege, and I’m very flattered to be given this award,” says Jones enthusiastically on the phone from her hotel in midtown Manhattan. “I’ve had a long relationship with British independent film.

Today, BroadwayWorld presents an exclusive look behind the scenes at the innovative new Bruce Springsteen documentary Springsteen amp I, presented by Fathom-equipped movie theaters nationwide for two special showings on July 22 and 30 only, by talking to the talented creator and director of the project, Baillee Walsh. Walsh has previously displayed his musical documentary skills with the Oasis project Lord Don't Slow Me Down, as well as shown off his cinematic skills with the feature film Flashbacks Of A Fool, starring frequent collaborator Daniel Craig. In addition to film work, Walsh also enjoys success as a music video director - having helmed a dozen Massive Attack videos, among others - as well as a designer commercial director, for brands such as Cartier, all of which he touches upon in this expansive chat. Most of all, Walsh examines the many layers of the new Springsteen salute, featuring fan-submitted footage and never-before-seen vintage...

Inspired by the award-winning crowd-sourced documentary Life in a Day, this charming letter of love tells how ‘The Boss’ Bruce Springsteen has changed the lives of millions. Directed by Flashbacks of a Fool helmer Baillie Walsh, it’s a film that’s more suited to repeat home viewings than a big-screen release, But, as a testimonial to the power of music and the iconography of an American, working-class hero, Springsteen & I will resonate with anyone who’s felt the bittersweet pang of art encapsulating the slings and arrows of life.
A mix of jerky concert footage, webcam testimonials and surprisingly well-edited fan anecdotes, there’s enough heart here to keep the theme from feeling overcooked. Walsh returns several times to the device of asking people to describe what Bruce Springsteen means to them in three words – but when the answers are as diverse as ‘joy, passion, memories’, ‘dazzling, timeless, loyalty...

Bruce Springsteen wants you. Not literally - that would be weird - but via a crowd-sourced documentary that will compile great Boss clips, stories and personal tales into a unique music documentary that will reach our screens next year.Springsteen & I has been commissioned by Ridley Scott's Black Dog Films, which is calling on Springsteen fans to submit footage, clips and visuals to help create a patchwork of tales that match the storytelling of the man himself. As director Baillie Walsh (Flashbacks Of A Fool) tells Empire, it's inspired by another innovative project from Sir Ridders' team. "I loved Day In A Life. It's the internet that made it film possible and the idea of using technology in that way is something that attracted me to this."If Kevin Macdonald's Day In A Life offered a worldwide snapshot you'd need to be Superman to get for yourself, Walsh...

Daniel Craig is currently between Bonds, and heading up a Stieg Larsson adaptation. But, he tells Ryan Gilbey, he's itching to get back on her majesty's secret service
The surprise upon meeting Daniel Craig is his gentleness. It isn't that you expect him to be scarred and basted and bleeding, as he is throughout much of Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, the two films in which he has played James Bond. (He is currently shooting a third, Skyfall, which will open next October, and is rumoured to have signed up for a further five.) But he goes beyond politeness: he's relaxed, even goofy, and quick to laugh, especially at himself. The blue eyes, which can seem glacial in his closeups as Bond, are warm and zesty. His features are as deeply etched as the grooves of a wood carving; the hair is sandy-coloured and fluffy. What else? There's the...

If there's one thing movies could use a whole lot more of, it's "Harry Potter" actors popping up in unexpected places.
Daniel Radcliffe in a remake of "The Graduate"? Awesome. Rupert Grint in a stage version of "Child's Play"? Why not? David Tennant (Barty Crouch) popping up as a recurrring character in our dreams? Done and done.
It seems we're not the only ones who want a little more Brit in our bonnet. Helen McCrory, best known for her role as Draco's mom Narcissa Malfoy in the "Harry Potter" series, has joined the cast of the upcoming James Bond movie "Skyfall." This isn't McCrory's first time working with Daniel Craig – the actors shared the screen in Baillie Walsh's 2008 film "Flashbacks of a Fool."
Empire Online reports that in addition to McCrory, Swedish actor Ola Rapace, ex-hubby of "The Girl with Dragon Tattoo" star Noomi Rapace, will also star in...

Almost every piece of information floating around Bond 23 can only be called speculation — even the title. Knowing this, it’s best to cut through any guessing games and just tell you of The Daily Mail‘s (via ThePlaylist) report, which puts Helen McCrory in the cast of Sam Mendes‘ spy adventure. She’s best known for playing Malfoy’s mother in the Harry Potter movies, but has also appeared in films such as The Queen, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and the upcoming Hugo. McCrory previously worked with Daniel Craig in Flashbacks of a Fool, although people will actually see this.
Also confirmed were the previously-rumored Ben Whishaw and Bérénice Marlohe — the former’s involvement is unclear as of now, but the latter has the coveted part of the Bond girl, having recently tested for Mendes and being “met with approval.” If there’s any cloud over the casting, it’s...

Besides being English, what do Harry Potter and James Bond have in common? With a 15-movie difference and 40-year head-start, 007 seems like he has the major advantage, but now several castmembers have defected from the Ministry of Magic and are heading to MI6 with a quickness.
The U.K.'s Daily Mail reports that Brit Helen McCrory has joined the cast of MGM's 23rd James Bond feature. She played one bad motha', Narcissa Malfoy, in the final three "Harry Potter" movies in addition to having previously worked with new Bond director director Sam Mendes on several plays, with Daniel Craig in the little-seen 2008 film "Flashbacks of a Fool," and newly-cast Ralph Fiennes as ol' Voldy in the aforementioned fantasy franchise. Talk about being grandfathered in.
It also seems the frantic search for a suitably hot and dramatically gifted (okay, that second thing isn't that important) new Bond girl for Mr.

Dream House's average was a highly disappointing $3,085 per theater. That's Daniel Craig's second box-office flop this year, following the highly disappointing performance of Jon Favreau's Cowboys & Aliens, Craig's highly expensive summer pairing with Harrison Ford. Craig, in fact, hasn't been very box-office friendly when not in Bond mode. Actor best known as Paddy, the militant shop steward in the BBC's The Rag Trade
The actor Miriam Karlin, who has died of cancer aged 85, became famous in the early 1960s as Paddy, the militant shop steward of a London clothing firm in the BBC television comedy series The Rag Trade. As Paddy, who was always willing to signal a strike with a whistle and her catchphrase "Everybody out!", Karlin was watched by millions, and quoted by millions. But neither that success, nor her more serious roles on stage, removed the gnawing dissatisfaction she felt at not achieving something more serious. She channelled some of that feeling into promoting broadly leftwing causes as a member of the council of the actors' union Equity, and as a campaigner for the Anti-Nazi League, the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and Soviet Jewry.

Film Company Ordered To Pay For Damaged House
A millionaire homeowner has won his battle for compensation over damage caused during the filming of Daniel Craig movie Flashbacks Of A Fool.
Businessman Glen Haysman was awarded $140,000 (GBP85,000) from Mrs Rogers Films Ltd on Tuesday at the High Court in London.
He had hired out his $3.25 million (GBP2 million) home in Hertfordshire, southern England, to the production company behind the 2008 film, but later claimed heavy vehicles had sunk into the driveway, and ceilings and wallpaper were destroyed as the crew went 'hell for leather' filming scenes.
Following the court win, Mr Haysman said: "I have been put through so much unnecessary stress. It has been 15 months of torment. Once they told me they'd pay for any damage they couldn't have cared less."...

Daniel Craig spends lots of time practicing his moody stare in "Flashbacks of a Fool," a drama about an La actor who spends his days in a haze of booze, cocaine and three-ways with hookers.
So what's his problem? Good question. When he learns that a childhood friend has died, we go to a long flashback (thus the strangely literal title) that takes up half the movie. The Craig character has been nursing a Dark Secret since the summer he spent by the English seaside when he was 15, into glam rock and learning how to be a stud.

Eden, Ruiz get 'Flashbacks'
Harry Eden and newcomer Angie Ruiz will star opposite Daniel Craig in the coming-of-age indie Flashbacks of a Fool.
Penned by Baillie Walsh, the film centers on an aging movie star (Craig) who returns to his English seaside hometown for the funeral of his childhood best friend. He experiences flashbacks of his younger years and a summer that resulted in a tragedy that changed his life forever. Eden will play the younger version of Craig's character.
The film, which marks music video director Walsh's feature helming debut, is shooting in South Africa and England.
Left Turn Films is producing. Lene Bausager, Damon Bryant and Claus Clausen will serve as producers, and Craig is executive producing.
Eden, whose credits include the Keira Knightley starrer Pure and Land of the Blind opposite Ralph Fiennes, most recently starred as the Artful Dodger in Roman Polanski's Oliver Twist. He is repped by ICM, ICM London and Melanie Greene Management.
Ruiz was named by People en Espanol magazine as a Cara Nueva (New Face) of 2006.
