Married and with a 7-year-old daughter, Johanna is happy, until the night she unexpectedly gives birth. In shock, she abandons the child. The baby is later found alive but she is now accused of attempted infanticide. Johanna doesn't understand, adamant that she hadn't been pregnant. In disgrace, she's forced to explain her actions in court as well as to her family and friends. She also needs to forge a maternal bond with the unexpected baby. With the help of her lawyer and a charity, she decides to fight back on behalf of all the women who have experienced this phenomenon: pregnancy denial.
