Alternate versions

German version was cut by ca. 7 seconds (torture scene with Will and Elmo) to secure a light SPIO/JK approval (the FSK rejected the film).

The "festive" alternate ending, The Birthday Party, involves Otis capturing and tying up the Lawson's and forcing them to act out the birthday party he never had. The family "gives" Otis his presents, which are the tools they all used to torture his brother (golf club, blender, etc.) and ends with menacing promise to use it on them.
