This is so very bad. The ADR is on par with old Japanese Godzilla movies. The troops are sent to fight rebels out east, and for a second I thought "okay, there were uprisings in Judea around then, maybe they did some research" nope, just generic rebels I assume somewhere in Italy near Pompeii. The quality of this series can best be described by the one soldier's speech being greeted by shouts from his soldiers that sound like five guys pooling their voices together, but there's maybe 20 people in the shot. So maybe they could only afford the actors for the shot and had to make due without them for the later voice over. My favorite part was the commander telling his troops to wait for his signal, then he says "not yet" three or four times, Mel Brooks made this kind of joke more believable in Robin Hood Men In Tights. If you want a good laugh then this is the series for you. I honestly am only watching it to get as many insights as I can to pre-eruption Pompeii for my time travel D&D canpaign.
