Prime Video has pounced on Mexican comedy “Tequila Repasado” by Gabriela Tagliavini., which it premieres worldwide on Dec. 20.

Co-produced by Sony Pictures Int’l Prods and Mexico-based Itaca Films and Feel Good Films, the comedy was originally written in English by Judd Pilot (“Coach”) and Gerald B. Fillmore (“Muertos S.L.”) to be later adapted for the Spanish-language market by Joan Vives, Ilse Apellaniz and Ricardo Avilés.

Said Tagliavini: “I loved the script. It was weird and hilarious yet also spiritual. And it allowed me to use interesting VFX and create original visuals, which is always a fun challenge!”

“Tequila Repasado” revolves around a workaholic who finds himself repeatedly transported back in time by a mystical tequila, forcing him to outsmart his multiplying selves as he struggles to mend his relationships with his family.

Here’s hoping that “Yellowstone” fans have a comfortable chair this weekend! Paramount’s free streaming servicePluto TV is gearing up to stream the first four seasons of the show on its More TV Drama channel.

Season 1 will start streaming Friday, Sept. 1 at 4 p.m. Et. Seasons 2 and 3 will begin airing at the same time on Saturday, Sept. 2 and Sunday, Sept. 3 respectively, and the fourth season will start streaming at 2 p.m. Et on Monday, Sept. 4.

The Smithsonian Channel has shared a clip promoting “One Thousand Years of Slavery,” a new docuseries that aims to tell the global story of slavery.

The four-part series features interviews and discussions with notable Black actors, celebrities and leaders, who will dive into their own family connections to slavery and unpack the legacy it has left today. Eclipse International will launch global sales at the virtual EFM on an adaptation of the upcoming graphic novel King Of Killers, which Underworld story creator and franchise star Kevin Grevioux will direct from his screenplay.

Exclusive: Pantelion has begun talks with international buyers here on the teen sex comedy Sundown starring Camilla Belle, Teri Hatcher and Sara Paxton.

Fernando Lebrija directed the comedy about two high school friends on spring break in Mexico when one of them loses a family heirloom to a local gangster.

Sundown, which screened yesterday and screens again twice on Monday, also features DJs Steve Aoki, Paul Oakenfold, Adrian Lux and Chris Lake.

Lebrija, Leonardo Zimbron and Sandro Halphen produce and the cast includes Jordi Molla, John Michael Higgins, Devon Werkheiser and Sean Marquette.

Cinema Management Group has acquired worldwide rights to Venezuelan hit Liz En Septiembre.

Patricia Velásquez and Eloisa Maturèn stars in the tale of a gay woman challenged by her friends to seduce a straight woman.

Fina Torres, who wrote From Prada To Nada, directed Liz En Septiembre has grossed more than $1m at the local box office.

“We are extremely pleased to be representing such a beautiful and penetrating film as Liz En Septiembre,” said president Edward Noeltner (pictured).

“Fina and the amazing cast have created a very special film that lingers for days on the viewers mind and is sure to find the same success internationally as it has in Venezuela.”

Noeltner and vice-president of sales Daniel Bort negotiated the deal with the film’s producers Torres, Judy Miller and Laura Oramus.

With an aggressive marketing campaign and stellar reviews, Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity is poised to easily take first place this weekend. The real question at this point is how high it can go, though it's hard to imagine an original Fall release debuting above $40 million or so. Runner Runner also opens this weekend, though it's unlikely that the Justin Timberlake/Ben Affleck thriller puts much of a dent in Gravity's grosses.Opening at 3,575 locations, Gravity stars Sandra Bullock and George Clooney as two astronauts who are stranded in orbit after their shuttle is destroyed. Advertisements for the movie put the astronauts in all kinds of precarious situations, which has nicely showcased the movie's stunning visuals and intense, high-stakes thrills. Toronto-based sales and distribution outfit Raven Banner has picked up international rights to Rafa Lara’s historical epic Cinco de Mayo: The Battle and will commence world sales in Cannes.

Directed by young Mexican sensation, Rafa Lara, the $10 million dollar action adventure is the biggest budget Mexican film to date and was released on a record 500 prints in Mexico. U.S. theatrical is through Pantelion/Televisa/Lionsgate. The film took more than $1 million in its first weekend of domestic release last week.

Cinco de Mayo: The Battle chronicles the story of Mexico’s Battle of Puebla, the most important battle in Mexico’s history. When the unbeatable French army invades Mexico to set up a monarchy, General Ignacio Zaragoza played by Kuno Becker (Goal!, From Prada to Nada), must defend the city of Puebla, commanding a poorly armed and outnumbered troop of men. The film, recounts the bravery of a people pushed to the limit, fighting for their nation, their families and their pride. The film features an all-star Mexican cast (Angelica Aragon, Kuno Becker, Mario Zaragoza, Liz Gallardo and Christian Vasquez). Director, Lara's previous film, La Milagrosa, was sold in more than 50 territories.

On Friday, actress Alex Vega (“Spy Kids,” “From Prada to Nada”) tweeted the following to her fans: “Going back to blonde! Ahhh. So weird. Gonna miss my dark hair...But today is a new beginning. Starting fresh.”

After spending hours at an L.A. hair salon on Friday, Alexa sent The Huffington Post an exclusive photo of her new blonde look (see the photo above!) this morning.

While Alexa seemed really excited about dying her hair , not everyone was thrilled about her decision to go from brunette to blonde. One of Alexa's followers (@Jairo_Rockzz on Twitter), had this to say about the change in hair color. “Nooooo! You look prettier and Hotter with dark hair... Well actually you look great being a blond too, but...Idk!” Alexa replied, saying: "lol. Goin back to blonde for a movie."

But just as Ferrell admits he still can't really hold a conversation in Spanish, Casa looks like it could have communication issues, too. Death tries to get the upperhand again in Final Destination 5. Despite being released in 3D in theaters, the horror movie’s home release includes DVD and Blu-ray but not Blu-ray 3D.

This time, it’s Nicholas D’Agosto (From Prada to Nada) who has the premonition and thus saves himself and numerous others, including Miles Fisher (Gods and Generals) and Emma Bell (Elektra Luxx), from death in a horrific bridge collapse. When death comes after them, the group must race against time to keep a step ahead. Courtney B. Vance (TV’s FlashForward) and David Koechner (A Good Old Fashioned Orgy) also star.

The R-rated movie is the first feature film directed by Steven Quale, whose last movie was documentary Aliens of the Deep.

Chicago – It’s fun espionage time at the movies this week, as “Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D” introduces some new young adventurers to the popular series, Mason Cook and Rowan Blanchard. Former kid Alexa Vega also appears in the film.

It’s been eight years since the third Spy Kids movie, all of them conceived and directed by Robert Rodriguez. As one of the first in 2003 to re-introduce 3D to the cinemas, Rodriguez goes one more with 4D, also known as Aromascope. Audience members will receive a numbered card, and once a number is flashed on the screen, the cards are to be rubbed and sniffed. Yes, you will be able to smell the film.

Spy Kids old and new came to Chicago recently to promote the movie, with the latest kids Mason Cook and Rowan Blachard joining classic kid Alexa Vega for an interview with HollywoodChicago.

A few years ago, the obvious (and regrettable) frontrunner would be Ashton Kutcher, who has now transformed himself into a Twitter star, not a movie star. And rightfully so.

So here are the highlights of the show's major players and a brief listing of what each one of them has been doing since the show wound down in 2006. In most cases, the lists are neither lengthy nor notable. Still, let's start off with the former frontrunner turned douche, shall we?

The source material is pretty thin but original 1980s videogame sensation Space Invaders will be made into a feature film by prolific producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers) and Odd Lot Entertainment (From Prada to Nada). The game rotates through screens where aliens fire upon the grounded player as they descend down the screen...the player is firing back and has to eliminate all the aliens before he is eliminated. That's all there is to the game. Film adaptations of Space Invaders have been attempted before without success. Di Bonaventura is also working on an adaptation of another popular 80s videogame, Asteroids. (Does this mean Centipede and Pac Man can look for movies soon?)

Sure, Bollywood flick "Aisha" borrowed the plot of "Emma," and "From Prada to Nada" was (very) loosely based on "Sense & Sensibility," but given the wealth of adaptations, and even biographical entries like "Becoming Jane" and "Miss Austen Regrets" that appeared in the middle of the last decade, it…...

The first of nine Frankenstein movies in the works is starting to be sewn together. Wake the Dead has cast The Sixth Sense actor Haley Joel Osment playing Victor Franklin, a college student fascinated with bringing people back from death. The Water Horse director Jay Russell will helm from a script he co-wrote. It's based on the graphic novel from Steven Niles and sets the Frankenstein story in the present day. Guns 'n' Roses guitarist Slash is producing. Production starts in the fall.

Here are the other Frankenstein projects in development:

* 20th Century Fox has hired Max Landis to write a script and has major directors like Paul Greengrass and David Yates under consideration;

* Indie Frankenstein's Army takes place at the end of World War II. Russian soldiers find Dr. Frankenstein's journal in a top secret Nazi laboratory. They use the notes to build an army by sewing together...
