STAR RATING: ***** Saturday Night **** Friday Night *** Friday Morning ** Sunday Night * Monday Morning
Among the numerous other 'special' shows in line before Children in Need 2008 comes the third series of this, where cheshire cat faced award winning hair-dresser Lee Stafford opens the doors of his hair-dressing academy to a group of 'celebrities' who are trained and then use their initiative to style the hair of clients, some celebrities, who pay (by way of donation) any money they think their cut is worth (this being for charity and all.) In between frequent sharp rock tuned fast camera shots of areas around Camden (that palace!) we're left to the mercy of a bunch of 'celebrities', none of whom I could put a name to even under the Z list (with the possible exception of Kim Mazzelle (who I think was in that band Love Inc) who I'm sure was on it last year?!?), dully going around the academy, cutting hair, styling hair, messing around, laughing and just doing what you've come to expect on all these countless other round the clock reality shows, until you wish someone would go crazy with a pair of those scissors and get spraying blood everywhere just to releive the boredom. Forgive an Alan Partridge moment here, but it has to be said this insipid lot are more Celebrity Scissorblands than Celebrity Scissorhands. *
