This anime is about martial arts and fist-fighting. Recommended for those who like awesome fight scenes with superhuman fighters and lots of violence (YuYu Hakusho and maybe Naruto comes to mind).
Aside the usual silly Japanese humor, the mood is dark and gets darker all through the series. The animation and the music are excellent, and the whole show is full of fan service. I would give it a 9 or even a 10 but there are two major problems with this anime:
It doesn't have any kind of ending. Even if you add the OVA Ultimate Fight to the original 24 episodes (thus making it 26), you get no ending whatsoever. It's not like everything is settled and just 1 tiny bit of the story remains for you to complete or imagine. It feels they wanted to make at least 50 eps but someone canceled the project right in the middle.
The second problem is the quantity of looks into the pasts of the characters. For the first 10 or so episodes the story is nice, clean and continuous. Then you get flashbacks 3-4 eps long and the main storyline is sinking away.

This show is about the Juken martial art club being a long nemesis of the Executive Council, which seek to eliminate the Juken club or its members. Getting themselves caught up in this mess Bob and Souichiro, long time friends/fighting buddies, and street-fighter style thugs, join the Juken club and get themselves caught up in the long feud between the Executive Council and the Juken club.
Much fighting in this anime is done simply for the thrill of the challenge, striving to be the strongest & toughest fighter there is or ever was. Always looking for opponents that are stronger, tougher, and faster than the last. Characters have access to chi in various forms: fire, wind, and perhaps the ultimate weapon, the Dragon's Eye. Much super-human fighting takes place throughout the series.
While remaining a highly comedic-based series, love, betrayal, revenge, and many other major themes take place through the series, as well as nearly constant fan service! Highly recommended for a good laugh, and thorough entertainment.

When I first heard about the plot for this show I thought it would be a normal, nothing-too-fantastic anime, but now, it seems that I can't get enough. I thought I would check it out on the TV to see if it was any good. As I watched the opening, I started to tap my foot to the awesome opening song, "Bomb a Head" it made me want to keep watching.
As I watched, I was sucked in, it was highly addicting with all the fights. The first episode was a tad weird in some scenes, but overall it was very good. The story really picks up by the 5th episode. It has a great, captivating story that makes you want more. The story however is more of how the past affected the future, with close to 13 episodes telling the events of the past. The mystery of everyone's motives and backgrounds as well as the characters themselves really make up the show. The show only has 24 episodes but it has an OVA, which is 2 episodes and really ties up the loose ends.
The English dub is really well done. It has the voices of Wendee Lee (Faye from Cowboy Bebop) and Johnny Yong Bosch (Renton from Eureka seveN) and they do a fantastic job as their characters. Where I watch it, it is uncut, which means nothing is left out and you get everything. They also aired the two OVA episodes. Surprisingly, in Canada, the DVD sales for this show went up after the first week on TV, showing how many people enjoyed it.
I was really surprised by the show. I thought it would be a little boring, but it proved me wrong. The show has a lot of violence (blood, breaking of limbs), and mild nudity, but overall, it's a great show if you want something new to watch.

I loved this so much! This was my first anime I had taken real interest in and id highly rate it to anyone who wants to enjoy a good, well made anime. At parts it may lack a little depth but if you consider when this anime was made and the details that surrounds it, it can easily be overlooked. The characters are all unique and bring their spice this anime and makes that more enjoyable. Fight sequences, humour and action all tie in with one another very well and when watching this makes you forget everything around you, it really does suck you in. Some parts were unnecessarily signalized but then you remember its an anime and you come to terms with that. All in all it really is a must watch it keeps your attention and is visually pleasing, for all those casual anime watchers id recommend it, for all those die hard anime watchers id recommend it.

A very bad anime. The question I was asking myself while watching this was, why are these kids fighting? There's really no reason given. Just a lot of meaningless violence. I've got no problems with violence in anime as long as there's some reason or explanation given for it. A lot of ridiculous trash talking and drama that's supposed to make these characters 'noble', really just ends up sounding silly. The plus is that the animation is really good. But it hardly makes up for the lack of real story... Sure there's a long back story behind the characters, but it really gives no purpose to the fights. In DBZ the characters have clear motivations. Goku wants to become stronger, always looking for stronger opponents. Vegeta wants to surpass Goku. The kids in this anime fight each other to the brink of death, all for what? I have no clue.

As much as I love rare anime,I love this show too. It's basically Fuse TV's very own Cromartie High School my favorite episodes so far takes place in the bowling ally.I give those an A.
Comedy:FINALLY,a 2007 show that has humor.
Animation:Japan.
Voices:Of course, the creators really picked great jokes and wrote great lines.
Okay,So now you know that this is my new anime show next to Fruit Basket, Kirby: Right Back Ya! and Bamboo Blade. Shows like CatDog and The Goode Family are just retarded.
