Two of the new channels come from a partnership with Lionsgate. The Celebrity Name Game Channel will feature re-runs of the popular show of the same name 24 hours a day. “Celebrity Name Game” was originally a board game developed by actors Courtney Cox and David Arquette called “Identity Crisis.” It later became a TV game show and has been running since 2014. It involves two couples, who can either be friends or family, who compete in the game show. They are accompanied by two special celebrity guests, aiding them in guessing the names of famous people, locations, movies, TV shows, and more.

Earlier this week, we ran an excerpt from MTV Splash Page editor Rick Marshall's interview with Todd McFarlane. In the article, the McFarlane discusses what some of the plans are for adapting his "Twisted Land of Oz" toy line into a feature film. He also mentions a writer, "A History of Violence" scribe Josh Olson, who turned in a script that McFarlane wasn't satisfied with. Well there's more to the story, and Olson has kindly taken some time out to share his side of the story.

A year ago, "Masters of Science Fiction" made its brief debut on ABC. While the general masses may still be a bit sci-fi-phobic, real genre fans now have a chance to get the entire series on DVD. "Masters of Science Fiction" was released on DVD yesterday, and now both SyFy Portal and SyFy Radio are giving away DVD sets to 10 lucky readers and listeners. The DVD contains not only the entire series, which originally premiered Aug. 4, 2007, but it also has two never-before-seen episodes of the series that ABC decided it didn't want to air. "Masters of Science Fiction" adapted short stories from some of the genre's greatest practitioners including Robert Heinlein, Harlan Ellison, Robert Sheckley and John Kessel. NBC scares up summer of 'Fear'
NBC has lined up a host of talent for its upcoming horror anthology series Fear Itself.
Directors on the list include John Landis (An American Werewolf in London), Stuart Gordon (Re-Animator) and Darren Bousman (the "Saw" series), with such actors as Brandon Routh (Superman Returns), Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men) and Eric Roberts (" L.A. Confidential").
Fear Itself is slated to run for 13 episodes on NBC in the summer.
The series is from Lionsgate, which produces heavily in the horror film genre, and Industry Entertainment, the company behind Showtime's Masters of Horror and last summer's ABC anthology series Masters of Science Fiction.
Others directors signed on include Ronny Yu (Freddy vs. Jason), Brad Anderson (The Machinist), Breck Eisner (the upcoming Creature From the Black Lagoon remake), Mary Harron (American Psycho) and Ernest Dickerson (NBC's Heroes). Acting talent also includes Shiri Appleby (Charlie Wilson's War), Cynthia Watros (ABC's Lost) and Pablo Schreiber (HBO's The Wire).
"We've teamed up with some of the most illustrious writers, actors and directors to create a distinctive, scare-filled series that will push the boundaries of this classic genre," NBC Entertainment executive vp Teri Weinberg said.

Many 'Masters' set for ABC show
Judy Davis, Sam Waterston and Anne Heche are among the long list of actors who have signed on to star in episodes of ABC's upcoming anthology series Masters of Science Fiction. Malcolm McDowell, James Cromwell, John Hurt, Sean Astin and Brian Dennehy also have signed on to star in installments of the six-episode series, which is based on short stories by some of the sci-fi genre's top writers. The hourlong show is set to air during the 2006-07 season. Other actors starring in episodes are Terry O'Quinn (ABC's Lost), Elisabeth Rohm (NBC's Law & Order), Clifton Collins Jr. (ABC's Alias), Kimberly Elise (CBS' Close to Home) and James Denton (ABC's Desperate Housewives).
