- TriviaWhile the producers were looking for an actor to play the role of Jason McCallister (Robert McCallister's brother and Kevin Walker's love interest), Rob Lowe, who plays Robert McCallister, recommended John Barrowman, who had co-starred with Lowe in "A Few Good Men" on the London stage. The producers offered the role to Barrowman, and he was interested in taking it, but was ultimately unable to work the shooting schedule around the schedule for his own show, Torchwood (2006).
- GoofsIn the final season, there is a story line about Sarah's biological father and blood types. Both William Walker and Nick Brody have type B blood, and it was revealed in a previous season that Nora has type O blood. Sarah's blood type is said to be AB, but this is impossible. For a child to have type AB blood, there must be some combination of A and B. Either one parent is A and the other is B, or one parent is AB and the other has any other type. If Nora has O and both fathers have B, Sarah must have either type O or B blood.

Brothers and Sisters is one of the finest TV dramas to come along in a very long time. The performances are superb from all involved, especially Sally Field, Racheal Griffiths and Matthew Rhys.
Each Sunday night I am treated to one of the finest hours on television. The mixture of humor, drama and that whole family dynamic is very intriguing. This show takes you through a whole host of emotions in one sitting as the story lines of each family member unfold in such a way, it leaves you craving for the next episode.
The gay storyline involving Kevin(Matthew Rhy) and Scotty(Luke Macfarlane) is outstanding. For once we have a complete and in-depth relationship between two men handled with maturity and intelligence. I'm so very pleased to see this on ABC network TV without much fuss being made. This is one of the finest gay story lines i've ever seen on TV.
Bravo to the writers, actors and all involved in producing one of the finest TV dramas in years.
