The premise of this show is very similar to the plot of Season 3, Number 1 of "Wanted: Dead or Alive" entitled: "The Trial". It first ran on September 21, 1960, also on CBS, although written by Ed Adamson.

Leftover business from the war

Two of Rowdy Yates's former companions from a Union POW camp take Clint Eastwood prisoner and take him to a ghost town where they want to try him for murder and treason to the late Confederacy fr betraying an escape attempt.

Their leader John Dehner even has a drunken old retired judge to preside. But Claude Rains proves not to be a malleable tool.

This episode is special as it is one of the few appearances of Claude Rains on American network television. As always Rains delivers a stunning and outstanding performance.
