Anarchy in the UK!

In this final episode filmed, Bodie and Doyle are on the case of a young anarchist terrorist group of middle-class dropouts intent on causing havoc by placing a series of bombs around strategic 'hotspots' in London.

The gang, led by the gutsy Ulrike, will stop at nothing to achieve their aims, and it will take some careful strategy from CI5 to close in on them before it's too late.

In this rather unusual episode, there's some good banter between Bodie and Doyle along the way - and some pathos too, as Doyle is ordered by a no-nonsense Cowley to break the awful news of a CI5 colleague's sudden 'death in the call of duty' to his distraught widowed spouse in a fairly harrowing scene.

Sarah Neville puts in a perfect and believable performance as the hardened terrorist leader Ulrike - and look out for a young Michael Praed as one of her less-talkative gang members.

All in all, it's a well-paced episode - the pretend courtroom scene among the gang to serve justice to a member who's betrayed them is memorable and pretty grim.

It delivers a clever final act - although the ending is a little abrupt and sombre, reflecting perhaps the overall feel of this story where it seems there are to be no winners.
