The filming was stopped mid-production, while almost all location shooting was completed due to the argument between the director and production managers. The camera negative was ordered destroyed, and all that survives today is about 30 minutes of rough cut, partly synchronized, and a dozen production photographs. The screenplay was rewritten for what has become Nikita Mikhalkov's "Raba Lubvi" (A Slave of Love). Some costumes and designs were used as well.
