In an early dream sequence when John appears to shoot himself the gun goes "BANG" but in closeup the gun can clearly be seen to be a Daisy air pistol from lettering on the barrel so should have gone 'phft!' and not killed anyone. Roger is seen to posses the same gun in his confrontation with Tanyia
