I've been watching this show ever since the 15th season. I just simply love the format: 10 contestants, three games/tasks every episode, and the test at the end which chooses the person to be eliminated. With, off course, the secret Mole, sabotaging the tasks.
I especially loved the All Stars/Renaissance season (2020), with 10 old contestants having a second chance.

Wie is de mol?(Who is the mole) is an exciting game show I have personally followed for years and hopefully will watch for many more to come. Wie is de mol? is an exciting and thrilling show about 10 people competing for the prize money, the money the contestants earn from completing assignments in every episode. From that group of 10 people 1 person is "The Mole" with the sole target to sabotage assignments while not incriminating him/herself, thus stopping the money flow and decreasing the prize money.
After every episode the contestants get a test. In this test they are answered 20 questions about the identity of the mole. The person with the least amount of answers right has to leave the show. The contestants have to be smart and very observant to pick up on who might be the mole and not to be left in the dark about his/her identity. Incriminating yourself is actually a good thing to do here for a contestant, seeing people would think you're the mole and would focus their answers on you, forcing them to eliminate themselves from the game. Deciding whether to incriminate yourself by messing up assignments or to make more money is only one of the many dilemmas contestants face during their journey.
Every year when this show is on (January-March) people start discussing who the mole might be and the final conclusion is Always watched by millions of people. This is a show that grabs you, takes you in and doesn't let go. The assignments and challenges the contestants encounter, the battle between them and the alliances they form, it's a big riddle. Who is the mole is, in my opinion, one of the best Dutch shows to date.

Wie is de Mol is one of my favorite TV-shows of all time. I get that that is hard to believe to an outsider, regarding all the amazing series that could never be bested by a mere "game-show".
But Wie is de Mol is no ordinary game-show. It's an experience! When all of the Netherlands is tuning in and trying to solve the mystery of the mole, you can not help but get pumped! The show is made so cleverly, with small clues hidden in every episode, which make you sit on the edge of your seat during every scene! The views are spectacular, the cinematography is outstanding, and every game adds a new layer of cleverness and excitement.
The most interesting thing, in my opinion, is the way the hunt is put together. While the mole has to deliberately sabotage the assignments, he has to also stay undercover to seem a normal player. But next to that, it's favorable for the others to send each other into the wrong direction (in their search for the mole), which they achieve by making themselves look suspicious. This way the viewer will never know if a suspicious play was an act of sabotage by the mole, making yourself look suspicious by someone else, or if it was just a stupid mistake.
All in all, this show is so much more than it seems from the start. It is a game-show. But it is also an adventure full of mind games. It's a detective plot in which you yourself are the detective. It's clever, it's thought-provoking, it's funny, it's beautiful and it's an experience, not just worth a watch, but worth 100% of your attention.
10/10 for sure!

Wie is de Mol? Gets a 6/10 for maintaining a decent quality as a Dutch game show, but it seems to have lost some of the charm that made it more appealing in its earlier seasons. While it still holds up against other shows in the Netherlands, there's a sense of nostalgia for its former glory.
The show, known for its intriguing premise of a group trying to figure out who among them is the 'mole,' used to captivate viewers with its clever challenges and the dynamics among participants. The selection of countries and participants in earlier seasons added an extra layer of interest and excitement, making each episode a fun and engaging watch.
However, recent seasons have not quite lived up to the expectations set by its earlier success. The choice of locations and participants seems to lack the allure it once had, leading to a slightly less engaging experience. While the format of the show remains interesting, these changes have affected the overall appeal.
Despite these issues, Wie is de Mol? Still ranks as a reasonably good show by Dutch standards. It continues to offer some intrigue and entertainment, but it falls short of the high bar it set in the past.
In summary, Wie is de Mol? Is a decent choice for fans of game shows, particularly within the Dutch television landscape. However, longtime viewers might feel a bit let down by the recent seasons, missing the more captivating elements that used to define the show.
