The film was previously titled Aadha Ram Aadha Ravaan. The films music was also released with this title. Last minute thinking made the producer's change the title to Ek Hi Maqsad.
" Ghungroo Toot Gaye" was earlier done by Pankaj Udhas in the album Anokha. The song was later remixed in the album Extra Hot 7 (Bhangra Remixes).The remix was in the year 1992. "Ghungroo" from War also sample's the same song.
Salma Agha did a version of Ghungroo Toot Gaye for the film Param Dharam (1987). Another version was sung by Runa Laila. There was also a Chutney version by Ravi B and Nisha titled "Ghungroo". Ghungroo Toot Gaye had a instrumental version by Babla in the album, "Babla and His Orchestra -Ghazal Hits of Pankaj Udhas and Anup Jalota. This was released in 1985. "Aaj Kehna Zaroori Hain" from Andaaz was also inspired from Ghoongroo Toot Gaye.
