Between 1986 and 1988,
Cherrie Madrigal starred in many "pene films" and so she became more popular than other actresses who had begun to perform in these kinds of films before her. In 1987, a Philippine magazine did an interview with her, calling her the most famous of the bold stars. It is also written that the actress didn't have a so nice body, but what she managed to do in the sex scenes was worth the price of the ticket. They then describe the three sex scenes that the actress has in G.I. Baby (respectively with Dick Israel, Bobby Benitez and Joonee Gamboa, of which at least the first two are not simulated) emphasizing in particular the one in which Israel penetrates her. When asked if she wasn't terrified to do this, Cherrie replied that all the scenes were necessary for the story. At the end of the interview, the actress surprisingly said that her dream would be to become a dramatic actress. She will actually become one but only since 2008.
