The same year as this film, Joan Fontaine had been among the stars of the movie Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1961), which would lead to the popular series Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1964) starring Richard Basehart. Twenty years after this film, the two would be paired romantically in an episode of The Love Boat (1977) titled Chef's Special/Beginning Anew/Kleinschmidt (1981). Six years before that episode, Fontaine had also been paired with Basehart's series co-star David Hedison in an episode of Cannon (1971) titled The Star (1975).
