Amitabh Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit were to act together for first time.
At that time 2 films of Tinnu Anand with Amitabh Bachchan were shelved, Shanakht & Alishaan. Instead they did Main Azaad Hoon.
Shanakht had music by Umar-Utpal, they also had composed music for Shahenshah & Main Azaad. Umar and Utpal are the sons of Anil Biswas one of the top music composers of 1950s/60s.
At that time 2 films of Amitabh Bachchan with Madhuri were started and shelved, Tinnu Anand's Shanakht and J.P.Dutta's Bandhua.
