Liotta Gets 'Control'
Ray Liotta has taken Matt Dillon's role in Control, a thriller directed by Tim Hunter. Liotta will play a violent sociopath who becomes involved in a medical experiment that exposes his past. Willem Dafoe, Stephen Rea and Michelle Rodriguez also star.

Robertson doing double duty
Kathleen Robertson has landed roles in two feature films, the indie drama Until the Night, opposite Norman Reedus, and the indie thriller Control, starring Willem Dafoe. Night, from writer-director Greg Hatanaka, begins shooting in Los Angeles next week. It sees Robertson star in the lead role of Elizabeth, a woman who on the surface has a seemingly perfect existence, but a new perspective emerges when she becomes secretly involved with an ex-boyfriend (Reedus). Taka Arai produces the film.

Variety reports that Michelle Rodriguez has signed on to star in Control opposite Matt Dillon and Willem Dafoe. Rodriguez will play the love interest of a sociopath on death row, who's given a chance at release if he agrees to a chemical behavioral modification program. Directed by Tim Hunter, the Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer-scripted film is set to start shooting on August 10.
