It was recently announced that Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck would be directing the new Captain Marvel film. This was a surprise to some, as many previous directors had been prolific with a resume in the kind of film they were making. While Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck have proven themselves with some great independent dramas, they are not the first directors to come to mind when you think Marvel Superhero movie. But, there's a reason they were hired to do the job. In a recent interview with /Film, Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, explained why they made the choice that they did:
"They came in many, many times and impressed us in the room with what they had to say about Carol Danvers. They live in New York and they would fly out at a moment's notice to come in and pitch on it, which always means a lot.

As chaos spreads across Los Angeles in "Fear the Walking Dead," a high school guidance counselor invites one of her students to stay with her family until this all blows over. The kid, though, knows an apocalypse when he sees one. "This doesn't end," he tells her.
