Nicholas "Nick" Bluetooth receives a mysterious map on his 15th birthday that leads him and his best friend Allegra Zane to a ship that transports them to the Outer Dimension, where they meet a strange cyborg named Jens.
Nick, Allegra and Jens search for Euripides, an Amphibib philosopher, who is the only one who can show Nick how to use the Map. However, they run into the fearsome Aquarts on the desert world of Arbo. Allegra learns more about Jens.
Nick, Allegra and Jens find Nepol, a Siktari warrior. Nepol is bitten by a Mallipede, and the others race to find a cure. Nick also meets Vilda, a servant of Gorm, and learns of the extent of Gorm's army of slaves.
The team tries to find the first fragment of the key to Galidor. Nick and Allegra meet Rom, a young girl that has been enslaved by Taskmaster and forced to build a monument for Gorm.
Nick practices his glinching and the team track down the first key fragment as they locate more Qorium for the TDN Module. Euripides opens up to Allegra.
The team visit Dreejal Vin for supplies and Allegra runs into Street Punks, Geo and Leah. The others run into a bounty hunter and later the team make a surprising discovery at the Monument of Knowledge.
Nick is put before the court of Dreejal Vin and sentenced to thirty cycles of community service for accidentally erasing their maps, and the team must free him before Gorm's flying Boges destroy them.
Nick discovers the next key fragment in the "Dreejal Vin Institute Of Technology", designed by Jens years ago. Jens meets a long lost friend, Britta. The team works to reveal the truth about Gorm's virus to the people of Dreejal Vin.
Gorm spins the truth that the team revealed to the people of Dreejal Vin. Strange things start happening to Nick and his friends when the TDN Module goes out of control and Boges continue to hound them.
Nick finds the third key fragment on Nepol's home world of Elta-Siktar. Nepol clashes with a warring tribesman. Allegra and Euripides search for Driplax, a native plant which can keep them warm.
The team are attacked by Boges, and Nepol's goggles are broken in the fight. Nick and Allegra meet a tribe of people on Elta-Siktar who have evaded Gorm. Nepol and Euripides repair Nepol's goggles while Nick tries to befriend a new ally.
Nick tries to find a cluster of key fragments on Elta-Siktar, while Gorm orders the bounty hunter Bala to kidnap Allegra to lure Nick to him. Nick finds a dilapidated machine and hopes he can use it to save Allegra before it's too late.
Nick and the team reach the fortress Kek to rescue Allegra. Gorm's shape-shifting advisor Tager stops Allegra from escaping. Euripides tells Nick of Gorm's betrayal and takeover, and remembers Nick's parents escape from Kek years ago.
Nick and the team fight through swarms of Boges to continue their rescue mission for Allegra. Tager uses his shape-shifting and illusions to fool Allegra into thinking that all her adventures in the Outer Dimension were just a dream.
The team try to escape Gorm's heavily guarded fortress full of illusions. Gorm tries to persuade Nick to join him in ruling Galidor. Nick finds a powered armor that amplifies his glinching powers. The team make a final dash to escape Kek.
