okay, so I shot this little ditty for a guy, then a stranger, now a friend. It wasn't a deep script and I, candidly, didn't expect much. But my first impression was on the set; the level of dedication and concentration Mr. Fribush, his producer, and cast were devoting to this film (er, video). Some months later I was shown the final cut and was delighted by the sheer pleasure of it. I subsequently showed it to another friend who was attending AFI and his comment was, "AFI thesis films are rarely this good." His point being, we just went out and in four nights made it happen, without a lot of instruction. Truly shot from the hip. That pleased me. Dave put together a whimsical, entertaining spoof on one man's modest ambition and it is one of the few comedy pieces I've shot I still enjoy popping into the VCR. Take with a grain of salt, and enjoy the show.
